Hüseyin Atay’ın Kelâmi Bakış Açısı ve Kelâm İlmine Katkıları

Abstract

ÖZ Bu çalışmada, Cumhuriyet döneminin önde gelen bir ilim siması olarak Hüseyin Atay’ın kelâm ilmine bakışı sistematik olarak incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Atay, Kur’an ve akıl merkezli bir metodoloji benimsemesi itibariyle sıra dışı bir duruş ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yapısıyla onun söyleminin, Müslüman düşüncenin yenilenmesi ve yeni bir medeniyet iddiasıyla ortaya çıkması gerektiği noktasına odaklandığını söylemek mümkündür. Bu söylemin de inşa edileceği merkezin kelâm ilmi olduğunu belirtmesi ve eleştirel okumasının merkezine bunu yerleştirmesi de ayrıca kayda değerdir. Bu noktada Atay, mezhepler üstü bir anlayışı benimsemiştir. Bu bakımdan onun düşünce sistematiği değerli görülmüş ve ortaya koyduğu perspektif açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Atay, bir sistem düşünürü olması itibariyle felsefeden fıkha birçok ilmi disipline dair çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Bütün çalışmaları gözden geçirilmiş ve kurucu bir ilim olarak gördüğü kelâm ilmine ilişkin görüşleri derli toplu bir şekilde yansıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda varılan tespitleri şöyle ifade etmek mümkündür: Sadece Müslüman âlemi değil bütün dünya, adaletin tam anlamıyla tesis edilemediği bir realiteyle karşı karşıyadır. Bu nedenle, yeni bir medeniyet söylemi üretilmelidir. Bunu üretecek dinamikler, Müslüman düşüncenin kaynaklarında bulunmaktadır. Ne var ki Müslümanlar, ortaya koydukları tecrübe itibariyle dinamik ve sürdürülebilir bir söylem oluşturamamıştır. Bu itibarla Müslüman düşünce eleştirel olarak yeniden okunmalıdır. Bu noktada dayanılması gereken kaynaklar akıl ve Kur’an’dır. Bunların hakikatine uygun bir şekilde aktif kılınması için de üzerine iliştirilen tortulardan temizlenmesi gerekir. Bu da ancak nesnel bir ilmi bakış açısıyla yapılabilir. Bu süreci de işletebilecek sistematik yapının inşası, kelâm ilminin eleştirel ve sistem kuran yapısına döndürülmesiyle yapılabilir.

ABSTRACT In this study, Hüseyin Atay's view of the science of kalām, as a leading scholar of the Republican era, has been systematically examined. Atay presents an extraordinary stance as he adopts a Quran and mind-centred methodology. With this structure, it is possible to say that his discourse focuses on the point that Muslim thought should be renewed and emerged with a new civilization of claim. It is also noteworthy that he states that the centre where this discourse will be built is the science of kalām and places it at the centre of his critical reading. At this point, Atay has adopted a supra-sectarian understanding. In this regard, his thinking system was valued and the perspective he put forward was tried to be explained. Atay, as a system thinker, has studies on many scientific disciplines from philosophy to fiqh. All of his studies were reviewed and his views on the science of kalam, which he saw as a founding science, were tried to be reflected orderly. It is possible to express the findings reached as a result of this research as follows: Not only the Muslim world, but the whole world is faced with a reality in which justice cannot be fully established. Therefore, a new civilization discourse must be produced. The dynamics that will produce this are found in the sources of Muslim thought. However, Muslims have not been able to form a dynamic and sustainable discourse due to their experience. In this regard, Muslim thought should be critically rereaded. At this point, the resources to be based on are mind and the Quran. In order to make these truly active, they must be cleaned from the deposits attached to them. This can only be done from an objective scientific point of view. The construction of a systematic structure that can operate this process can be done by turning the science of kalām into its critical and system-setting structure.
