OKUL ÖNCESİ ÇOCUKLARIN SOSYAL YETKİNLİK DÜZEYLERİ İLE ANNELERİNİN DUYGUSAL İSTİSMAR POTANSİYELLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının sosyal yetkinlik düzeyleri ile annelerinin duygusal istismar potansiyelleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu okul öncesi eğitime devan eden 370 çocuk ve annesi oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Kişisel Bilgi Formu, 3-6 Yaş Çocuğa Sahip Ebeveynlere Yönelik Duygusal İstismar Potansiyeli Ölçeği (DİPÖ), Sosyal Yetkinlik ve Davranış Değerlendirme-30 (SYDD-30) Okul Öncesi, Öğretmen Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistikler t- Testi, Anova, Pearson Korelasyon ve Çoklu Regresyon testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın Sonuçları: Çocukların sosyal yetkinlik puanları cinsiyetlerine, kardeş sayısına, anne öğrenim düzeyine, anne çalışma durumuna, aile gelir düzeyine göre anlamlı fark gösterirken doğum sırası ve anne yaşı değişkenlerinde anlamlı bir fark göstermemiştir. Annelerin duygusal istismar potansiyelleri çocuklarının doğum sırasına, kardeş sayısına, anne yaşına, anne öğrenim durumuna, anne çalışma durumuna ve aile gelir düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterirken çocukların cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık söz konusu değildir. Annelerin duygusal istismnar potansiyeli puanları ile çocukların sosyal yetkinlik puanları arasında negatif yönlü, anksiyete-içe dönüklük puanları arasında pozitif yönlü düşük düzeyde anlamlı ilişki belirlenmiştir. Annelerin duygusal istismar potansiyeli önleyici alt boyutu sosyal yetkinliği negatif yönde anlamlı yordamaktadır. Annelerin duygusal istismar potansiyeli nedensel alt boyutu çocukların anksiyete-içe dönüklük puanlarını pozitif yönde ve anlamlı düzeyde yordamaktadır.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to illustrate the Relationship between Social Competence Levels of Preschool Children and Emotional Abuse potential of their Mothers. The descriptive survey model was conducted as a method. The study group consisted of 370 preschool children (attended 2019-2020 academic year) and their mothers. Data were collected by a valid and reliable Personal Information Form as well as the Scale for Emotional Abuse Potential of Parents with Children Aged 3 to 6, Social Competence and Behavior Assesment-30 Scale and Pre-school Teacher Form. Statistical analyses of the obtained research data were carried out using the t-test, Anova, Pearson Correlation and Multiple Regression tests. Results suggest that significantly positive correlations were observed between the social competence scores and gender of the children, number of siblings in the family, education level of mother, working status of mother and income of the family. On the other hand, age of mother and the rank among the siblings did not affect social competence scores of children. Subsequent to this, emotional abuse potential of mothers strongly correlated with the rank among the siblings, number of siblings, mother’s age, education level of mother, working status of mother (working/not working) and income of the family. Emotional abuse potential of mothers’ was independent of children’s gender. Within the scope of this research: emotional abuse potential of mothers was found significantly low negative correlated with social competence score and it was significantly low positive correlated with anxiety/introversion scores. Given Mothers’ Potential of emotional abuse has significantly low correlation with both social competence and anxiety/introversion score; it predicts social competence inversely when it is used as a preemptive sub dimension and it predicts anxiety/introversion score with positive correlation when it is used as a causal sub dimension.
