Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul müdürlerinin alturistik (özgeci) liderlik davranışlarını gerçekleştirme düzeylerinin öğretmen görüşlerine göre belirlenmesidir. Bu amaca ilişkin, öğretmen algıları doğrultusunda, okul müdürlerinin alturistik liderlik davranışlarını sergileme düzeyleri kişisel değişkenlere göre nasıl farklılaştığı araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada genel tarama modellerinden betimsel tarama kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Karabük ili ve ilçelerinde yer alan resmi ve özel ilkokullarında, ortaokullarında ve liselerinde görev yapan toplam 3262 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Karabük ili ve ilçelerinde yer alan resmi ve özel ilkokullarında, ortaokullarında ve liselerinde görev yapan toplam 378 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada örneklem seçiminde basit seçkisiz örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, Zheltoukhova (2016) “Developing and Validating A Scale Of Altruistic Leadership” adlı çalışmasıyla literatüre kazandırdığı, Konan ve Gedik (2019) tarafından eğitim örgütleri için Türkçeye uyarlaması yapılan Alturistik (Özgeci) Liderlik Ölçeği anketi ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, betimsel istatistiksel ölçüleri (aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, standart hata, varyans, frekans ve yüzde) ve parametrik testlerden olan t-testi ve ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, öğretmenlerin okul müdürlerinin alturistik (özgeci) liderlik davranışlarına “katılıyorum” düzeyinde ve olumlu görüş bildirdikleri belirlenmiştir. Okul müdürlerinin alturistik liderlik davranışları cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim durumu, okul türü, okuldaki öğrenci sayısı, okuldaki öğretmen sayısı ve okuldaki çalışma süresi değişkenleri bakımından anlamlı şekilde bir farklılık göstermemiştir. Okul kademesi, branş, okulun fiziki koşulları, öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik durumları, okulun bulunduğu bölge değişkenleri bakımından ise istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılıklar ortaya çıktığı görülmüştür. Araştırma sonucu ile ilgili öneriler çalışmanın sonunda belirtilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to state the degree of school principals 'realization of altruistic leadership behaviors according to teachers' opinions. For this purpose, in line with teachers' views, it was tried to investigate how school principals' display of altruistic leadership behaviors differ according to personal variables. Descriptive survey, one of the general survey models, was used in the research. The universe of the study consists of 3262 teachers working in public and private primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in the province of Karabük and its districts in the 2020-2021 academic year. The research consists of 378 teachers working in public and private primary schools, secondary schools and high schools working located in the province of Karabük and its districts. In the study, simple random sampling was used in the sample selection. The research data were based on the Alturistic leadership scale questionnaire and personal information form, which Zheltoukhova (2016) brought to the literature with his doctoral thesis "Developing and validating a scale of altruistic leadership" and adapted into Turkish by Konan and Gedik (2019) for educational organizations. Descriptive statistical measures (arithmetic mean, variance, frequency and percentage) and parametric tests, t-test and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. In this study, it was stated that school principals' altruistic leadership behaviors are at the level of “I agree” and positive according to the opinions of the teachers. School principals' altruistic leadership behaviors did not differ significantly in terms of gender, age, educational status, type of school, number of students at school, number of teachers at school and working time at school. It was observed that statistically significant differences emerged in terms of the variables of school level, branch, physical conditions of the school, socio-economic status of the students, and the region where the school is located. Suggestions regarding the research result are stated at the end of the study.
