Pozitif Psikolojik Sermaye İle Duygusal Zekâ Arasındaki İlişki Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

ÖZ Bu araştırmada pozitif psikolojik sermaye ile duygusal zekâ arasındaki ilişki incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, pozitif psikolojik sermaye ve alt boyutları ile duygusal zekâ ve alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkinin tespit edilmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmanın evrenini Karabük ili Merkez ilçesinde bulunan devlet liselerinde görev yapmakta olan 538 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise, kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 217 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplamak için anket yönetimi seçilmiş olup 24 ifadeden oluşan pozitif psikolojik sermaye ölçeği ile 37 ifadeden oluşan duygusal zekâ ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılacak olan verilerin toplanması için Karabük ili merkezinde görev yapmakta olan 250 öğretmene anket dağıtılmış olup kullanılabilir toplam 218 anket elde edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler İstatistik Paket Programı kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Araştırma amacı kapsamında oluşturulan hipotezler Bağımsız Örneklem T-Testi, Tek Yönlü ANOVA ve Pearson Korelasyon analizleriyle test edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda pozitif psikolojik sermaye ve duygusal zekânın ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir (,000; p<0,05). Bu iki kavramın alt boyutları arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde ise pozitif psikolojik sermayenin tüm boyutlarının duygusal zekânın duygulardan faydalanma boyutu haricindeki boyutlarıyla ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Pozitif psikolojik sermayenin eğitim durumu ve mesleki çalışma süresi, duygusal zekânın ise cinsiyet ve haftalık verilen ek ders saati demografik değişkenlerine göre farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle araştırmanın ilk hipotezi pozitif psikolojik sermaye ve duygusal zekâ arasında ilişki olduğu düşüncesi istatistiki olarak kanıtlanmış oldu. Alt hipotezler olarak oluşturulan pozitif psikolojik sermayenin alt boyutları ile duygusal zekânın alt boyutları arasında ilişki olduğu düşüncesi de duygulardan faydalanma alt boyutu haricinde istatistiki açıdan kanıtlanmıştır. Pozitif psikolojik sermaye ve duygusal zekânın demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaştığı düşüncesine yönelik oluşturulan ikinci ve üçüncü hipotezler de istatistiki açıdan kanıtlanmıştır. ABSTRACT The research examines the relationship between positive psychological capital and emotional intelligence. The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between positive psychological capital and its sub-dimensions, emotional intelligence and its sub-dimensions. For this purpose, the universe of the study consists of 538 teachers working in state high schools located in the central district of Karabük province. The sample consists of 217 teachers selected by convenience sampling method. The survey management was chosen to collect data, and the positive psychological capital scale consisting of 24 statements and the emotional intelligence scale consisting of 37 statements were used. In order to collect the data to be used in the study, a questionnaire was distributed to 250 teachers working in the central district of Karabük province, and the total number of questionnaires available was determined as 218. The collected data were tested using the Statistical Package Program. The hypotheses formed within the scope of the research were tested with Independent Sample T-Test, One Way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that positive psychological capital and emotional intelligence are related (,000; p<0,05). When the relationship between the sub-dimensions of these two concepts is examined, it was found that all dimensions of positive psychological capital are related to the dimensions of emotional intelligence, except the dimension of benefiting from emotions. It has been determined that positive psychological capital differs according to educational status and duration of professional work, and emotional intelligence according to gender and demographic variables of additional weekly hours. Based on these results, the first hypothesis of the study is that the idea that there is a relationship between positive psychological capital and emotional intelligence is statistically proven. The idea that there is a relationship between sub-dimensions of positive psychological capital and sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence, which is formed as sub-hypotheses, was also proved statistically, except for the sub-dimension of utilizing emotions. It was statistically proven in the second and third hypotheses created for the idea that positive psychological capital and emotional intelligence differ according to demographic variables.
