Ortadoğu’daki Savaşın Ortaya Çıkardığı Bir Sorunsal Olarak Türkiye’deki Mülteci Sanatçılar ve Sanat Anlayışları

Abstract

ÖZ “Ortadoğu’daki Savaşın Ortaya Çıkardığı Bir Sorunsal Olarak Türkiye’deki Mülteci Sanatçılar ve Sanat Anlayışları” başlıklı çalışmada, Suriye iç savaşı sebebi ile ülkelerinden Türkiye’ye göç eden on sanatçının hayatı, eserleri ve sanat anlayışları incelenmiştir. 2011 yılında başlayan Suriye iç savaşı sonucu Türkiye’nin almış olduğu dış göç artmış ve göçmenlerin büyük bir oranı Ortadoğulu bireyleri kapsadığı tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda bu bireylerin çoğunluğunun Suriye kökenli mülteci sanatçılar olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, mülteci sanatçıların yeni bir ülkeye uyum süreçleri, sanat anlayışlarındaki değişimlerin belirlenmesi ve Türkiye başta olmak üzere Dünya üzerindeki çağdaş sanat etkinliklerine olan katkılarının tespit edilmesi amaç edinilmiştir. Mülteci sanatçıların İstanbul’da yapılan sanat etkinliklerine katılmaları, Türkiye Çağdaş Sanatını ve sanat piyasasını etkilemiştir. Sanatçılar kendi aralarında karma sergiler düzenlemenin yanı sıra önemli sanat etkinliklerinde de yer almışlardır. Ayrıca sanatçıların kendi atölyelerini kurması ve Suriyeli bazı galeri sahiplerinin İstanbul’da da galeri açmaları sanatçıların sanat piyasasına dahil olmalarına olanak sağlamış olup bu durum konu seçiminde önemli bir faktör olmuştur. Ayrıca sanatçıların savaş öncesi-sonrası başta olmak üzere Suriye ve ilerleyen yaşamlarının birer yansıması olarak eserlerindeki tema, renk, üslup ve teknik anlamda farklılık göstermiş olması da çalışmanın yönünü belirleyen önemli bir unsurdur. Sanatçıların savaş öncesi dönemde peyzaj, kent silueti, portre ve az sayıda toplumsal olayları konu edindikleri görülürken resmettikleri öğelerin özgün rengine genel olarak sadık kaldıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Figür kullanılan eserlerde soyutlamacı bir yaklaşım görülse de figürlerin ifadeleri ve mimikleri okunabilir derecededir. Fakat savaş sonrası eserlerde sanatçılar genel olarak soyutlamacı tavırlar sergilemişlerdir. Renk kullanımlarındaki tercihler ise sanatçıların psikolojileri ve düşünceleri üzerinde çıkarım yapılmasına olanak sağlamıştır. ABSTRACT In the study titled "Refugee Artists in Turkey and Their Sense of Art as a Problematic Arising by the War in the Middle East", the lives, works and artistic understanding of ten artists who migrated from their countries to Turkey due to the Syrian civil war were examined. As a result of the Syrian civil war that started in 2011, Turkey's external migration has increased and it has been determined that a large proportion of immigrants include individuals from the Middle East region. As a result of the researches, it has been observed that the majority of these individuals are Syrian refugee artists. In this study, it is aimed to identify the adaptation processes of refugee artists to a new country, to determine the changes in their understanding of art and to reveal their contributions to contemporary art activities in the world, especially in Turkey. The participation of refugee artists in art events in Istanbul has affected Turkish Contemporary Art and the art market. In addition to organizing group exhibitions among themselves, the artists also took part in important art events. Moreover, the establishment of their own workshops by the artists and the opening of galleries in Istanbul by some Syrian gallery owners enabled the artists to be included in the art market, which was an important factor in the choice of subject. Besides, the fact that the artists differed in terms of theme, color, style and technique as a reflection of their lives in Syria and in the following years, especially before and after the war, is an important element that determines the direction of this study. It has been observed that while the artists focused on landscape, city silhouette, portrait and a small number of social events in the pre-war period, they generally remained faithful to the original color of the items they painted. Although an abstractionist approach is observed in the works in which figures are used, the expressions and facial expressions of the figures are legible. However, in the post-war works, artists generally exhibited abstractionist attitudes. Preferences in the use of colors, on the other hand, allowed inferences on the psychology and thoughts of the artists.
