Abstract:
ÖZET
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Karabük’te üçüncü basamak sağlık kuruluşunda görev yapan ebe ve hemşirelerin doğum şekli tercihlerinin ve doğum şekli tercihleri ile ilişkili faktörlerin değerlendirilmesidir. Kesitsel tipte planlanan çalışma, Karabük Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini hastanede görev yapan toplam 595 ebe ve hemşire oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada örnek seçilmemiş olup hedef popülasyonun tümüne ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Ancak, 294 kişi araştırmaya katılmayı kabul etmediği için çalışmada 301 kişiden (%46) veri toplanmıştır. Veriler, 32 soruluk bir form kullanılarak online anket tekniği yoluyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler yüzde dağilım biçiminde özetlenmiş, bağlımlı ve bağımsız değişkenler arasındaki ilişki ki-kare testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma grubunun %75,1’ini hemşireler (n=226), %24,9’unu ebeler (n=75) oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunun %40,2’si 35-44 yaş grubunda ve %87,0’ı evlidir. Ebe ve hemşirelerin %50,5’i sezaryen doğumu, %49,5’i vajinal doğumu tercih etmektedir. Ebe ve hemşirelerin %29,6’sı endikasyon olmadığı durumlarda isteğe bağlı sezaryen uygulanabileceğini, %60,8’i sezaryen doğumdan sonra vajinal doğum gerçekleşebileceğini, %76,1’i sezaryen doğumda komplikasyon riskinin daha fazla olduğunu düşünmektedir. Ülkemizdeki sezaryen doğumların artış trendi ile uyumlu olarak ebe ve hemşireler arasında da sezaryen doğum yaygın olarak tercih edilmektedir.
ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to evaluate the preferences of delivery type of midwives and nurses working in the tertiary health care institution in Karabük and the factors associated with the mode of delivery. The study, planned in cross-sectional type, was conducted in the Karabuk Training and Research Hospital. The universe of the research consisted of 595 midwives and nurses working in the hospital. The sample was not selected in the study, and it was aimed to reach the entire target population. However, since 294 people did not accept to participate in the study, data were collected from 301 people (46%). Data were collected through an online survey technique using a 32-question form. The data obtained from the study were summarized as percentage distribution, and the relationship between dependent and independent variables was analyzed with the chi-square test. Nurses (n=226) constitute 75,1% of the researche group and midwives (n=75) constitute 24,9%, 40,2% of the study group were in the 35-44 age group and 87,0% were married. 50,5% of midwives and nurses prefer cesarean section, 49,5% prefer vaginal delivery 29,6% of midwives and nurses think that optinal cesarean section can be applied in cases where there is no indication, 60,8% think that vaginal delivery can occur after cesarean section, 76,1% think that the risk of complications is higher in cesarean section. In line with the increasing trend of cesarean deliveries in our country, cesarean delivery is widely preferred among midwives and nurses.
