DEMİR ÇELİK SEKTÖRÜ ÇALIŞANLARININ RİSK ALGISI

Abstract

ÖZET Demir-çelik sektörü, ağır ve son derece büyük ve tehlikeli malzemelerin kullanıldığı tehlikeli bir sektördür. Bu tez çalışmasında Karabük ilinde faaliyet gösteren bir demir-çelik işletmesi üzerinde, çalışanların iş kazaları, risk farkındalıkları ve risk algı seviyeleri ölçülmüş ve bu algıların öncelikle sosyo-demografik durumlara göre farklılıkları araştırılmıştır. 106 katılımcıdan anket yöntemi ile edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma hipotezlerinin test edilmesinde parametrik olmayan testlerden; Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Walllis H Testi uygulanmıştır. Tez çalışmasının modelleme bölümünde çok değişkenli istatistiksel yöntemlerden yararlanılmıştır. İşletme çalışanlarının risk algısına ilişkin verilen yanıtların sosyo-demografik bilgilere göre benzerliklerini araştırmak için iki aşamalı kümeleme analizi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışanların risk algısını etkileyen en önemli değişkenleri belirleyebilmek için karar ağacı algoritmalarından C5.0 algoritması kullanılmış ve ölçeğin dört boyutuna ilişkin elde edilen bulgular değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda işletme çalışanlarının iş güvenliği ve risk ile ilgili kavramlara ilişkin bilgi düzeyinin, ekipman, levha ve ikazlara karşı farkındalıklarının, baret konusunda sorumluluk bilincinin, sağlık risk durumu ve algısının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.

ABSTRACT The iron and steel industry is a dangerous industry where heavy and extremely large and dangerous materials are used. In this thesis study, occupational accidents, risk awareness, and risk perception levels of employees were measured on an iron and steel plant operating in Karabuk. And the differences of these perceptions according to socio-demographic conditions were investigated. By using the questionnaire method, data were obtained from 106 participants and the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 package program was used to evaluate the data. In testing the research hypotheses, non-parametric tests; Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H Tests were implemented. In the modeling part of the thesis, multivariate statistical methods were used. For investigating the similarities of the answers given regarding the risk perception of the business employees according to the socio-demographic information, a Two-Step clustering analysis was used. In addition, the C5.0 algorithm, one of the decision tree algorithms, was used to determine the most important variables affecting the risk perception of the employees, and the findings related to the four dimensions of the scale were evaluated. As a result of the study, it was determined that the level of knowledge of the employees about the concepts related to occupational safety and risk, their awareness of equipment, signs and warnings, the awareness of responsibility about the helmet, and the health risk status and perception are high.
