BİR İLÇEDE YAŞAYAN 18 YAŞ ÜSTÜ BİREYLERDE KORONAVİRÜS (COVID-19) FARKINDALIK DÜZEYİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu çalışmada, 18 yaş üstü bireylerin koronavirüs (COVID-19) farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Çalışma tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte planlandı. Farkındalık düzeyinin cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim durumu gibi farklı değişkenler ile ilişkisi incelendi. Çalışmanın örneklemini Kastamonu İli Pınarbaşı İlçesi’nde yaşayan 523 katılımcı oluşturdu. Çalışmanın verileri, Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Koronavirüs (COVID-19) Farkındalık Ölçeği kullanılarak elde edildi. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Kolmogrov-Smirnov (K-S) testi, Mann Whitney U testi, Kruskall Wallis H testi ve Spearman Brown Sıra Farkları Korelasyonu Katsayısı kullanıldı. Çalışmaya katılan katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 45,55 + 17,83 olup, %47,2’sinin kadın olduğu belirlendi. Katılımcıların koronavirüsten korunma önlemi olarak %97,5’inin ellerini sık sık yıkadığı, %90,8’inin kolonya ve dezenfektan kullandığı, %89,7’sinin maske ve siperlik kullandığı, %83,9’unun sosyal mesafeye uyduğu, %93,9’u maskeyi doğru kullandığı, %6,1’inin yanlış kullandığı belirlendi. KFÖ ölçeğinin alt boyutlarına ait puan ortalamaları bulaşma tedbiri farkındalığı için 40,19 + 5,88; güncel gelişmeleri takip farkındalığı için 14,79 + 4,59; hijyen tedbiri farkındalığı için 14,02 + 4,09 olarak bulundu. Katılımcıların üç alt boyutta koronavirüs farkındalık düzeyleri genel olarak yüsek bulundu. Yaş arttıkça katılımcıların bulaşma tedbiri farkındalığının arttığı görüldü. Güncel gelişmeleri takip ve hijyen tedbiri alt boyutlarında genç katılımcıların farkındalığında artış görüldü. Cinsiyet ve koronavirüs tanısı alma durumuna göre farklılaşma tespit edilmedi. Yaşanılan yer değişkenine göre köy-beldede yaşayanların bulaşma tedbiri farkındalığı yüksek bulundu. Öğrenim seviyesi düşük olan katılımcıların bulaşma tedbiri farkındalığı, üniversite ve üstü öğrenim seviyesine sahip olan katılımcılara göre yüksek tespit edildi. Diğer meslek gruplarına göre sağlık çalışanlarının bulaşma tedbiri farkındalığı düşük saptandı. Kamuda çalışan katılımcıların farkındalık düzeyleri üç alt boyutta da diğer sektörlerin gerisindedir. Emekli ve çalışmayan katılımcıların bulaşma tedbiri farkındalıkları diğer gruplardan yüksektir. Elde edilen bu verilere göre, bireylerin farkındalık düzeyleri artırılmalı pandemiye yönelik eğitim ve bilgilendirmelere daha fazla ağırlık verilmelidir. Verilen eğitimlerin etkinliklerinin değerlendirilmesi önerilmektedir.

ABSTRACT

In this study, it was aimed to determine the coronavirus (COVID-19) awareness levels of individuals over the age of 18. The study was planned in descriptive and cross-sectional type. The relationship between awareness level and different variables such as gender, age, and educational status was examined. The sample of the study consisted of 523 participants living in the Pınarbaşı District of Kastamonu. The data of the study were obtained using the Personal Information Form and the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Awareness Scale. Descriptive statistics, Kolmogrov-Smirnov (K-S) test, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis H test and Spearman Brown Rank Correlation Coefficient were used to evaluate the data. The average age of the participants participating in the study was 45.55 + 17.83, and 47.2% of them were women. As a precaution against coronavirus, 97.5% of the participants wash their hands frequently, 90.8% use cologne and disinfectant, 89.7% use masks and visors, 83.9% adhere to social distance, 93% It was determined that 0.9 of them used the mask correctly and 6.1% of them used it incorrectly. The mean scores of the sub-dimensions of the CFS scale were 40.19 + 5.88 for contagion prevention awareness; 14.79 + 4.59 for awareness of following current developments; It was found as 14.02 + 4.09 for awareness of hygiene measures. The coronavirus awareness levels of the participants in three sub-dimensions were found to be high in general. It was observed that as the age increased, the awareness of the contagion precautions increased. There was an increase in the awareness of young participants in the sub-dimensions of following current developments and hygiene measures. No differentiation was detected according to gender and the status of being diagnosed with coronavirus. According to the variable of place of residence, the awareness of the contagion measure was found to be high among the people living in the village-town. The awareness of the contagion measure of the participants with a low level of education was found to be higher than the participants with a university or higher education level. Compared to other occupational groups, the awareness of health workers regarding the prevention of contamination was found to be low. The awareness levels of the participants working in the public sector are behind other sectors in all three sub-dimensions. Contagion prevention awareness of retired and non-working participants is higher than other groups. According to these data, awareness levels of individuals should be increased and more emphasis should be placed on education and information about the pandemic. It is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided.
