Macera turizmi kapsamında heyecan ve riski deneyimleme duygularıyla rafting turizmi popülaritesini artırmaktadır. Bu süreçte rafting turistlerinin davranışını anlamaya yönelik çalışmalar önemli çıktılar görülebilir. Bu araştırmada Türkiye’deki rafting turistlerinin motivasyon ve memnuniyetleri üzerine bir anlayış geliştirilmesi amaçlanmış ve 400 rafting katılımcısından anket tekniği kapsamında toplanan veriler analiz edilmiştir.
Rafting turistlerin motivasyonlarının kaçış, doğa, sosyal etkileşim ve kültür; memnuiyetlerinin ise eğitmen, iletişim, aktivite ve süre önceliğinde alt boyutlarda şekillendiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca, rafting katılımcılarının motivasyon ve memnuniyetleri atasındaki ilişkinin ortaya konulması bağlamında gerçekleştirilen korelasyon analizinde motivasyonları ile memnuniyetleri arasında orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişkinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar perspektifinde bu çalışmada rafting işletmelerine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
ABSTRACT
Within the scope of adventure tourism, rafting tourism increases its popularity with the emotions of experiencing excitement and risk. In this process, important outputs can be seen in studies aimed at understanding the behavior of rafting tourists. In this research, it was aimed to develop an understanding on the motivation and satisfaction of rafting tourists in Turkey and the data collected from 400 rafting participants within the scope of the survey technique were analyzed.
The motivations of rafting tourists are escape, nature, social interaction and culture; On the other hand, it has been observed that satisfaction is shaped in the sub-dimensions of instructor, communication, activity and time priority. In addition, in the correlation analysis carried out in the context of revealing the relationship between the motivation and satisfaction of the rafting participants, it was determined that there was a moderately significant relationship between their motivation and satisfaction. In the perspective of these results, suggestions for rafting enterprises are presented in this study.
