BATI KARADENİZ BÖLGESİNDEKİ BEDEN EĞİTİMİ VE SPOR ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN COVİD-19 SALGINI SÜRECİNDEKİ COVİD-19’A İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ İLE MOTİVASYON DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; Batı Karadeniz Bölgesi’ndeki beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin Covid-19 salgını sürecindeki Covid-19’a ilişkin görüşleri ile motivasyon düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Batı Karadeniz Bölgesinde bulunan Bartın, Bolu, Düzce, Kastamonu, Karabük ve Zonguldak illerinde görev yapan 300 beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin sosyo-demografik bilgilerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak; Batıgün ve Ertürk’ ün 2020’de geliştirdikleri “Çok Boyutlu Covid-19 Ölçeği” ile, Karabağ Köse, Karataş, Küçükçene ve Taş tarafından 2021’de geliştirilen “Öğretmen Mesleki Motivasyonu Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi için SPSS 26 (Statistical Package for Social Science) programı kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizlerde verilere normal dağılım testi ve betimsel istatistik testi uygulanmış, elde edilen normallik test sonucuna göre ise Independent Samples T Testi ve İki farklı gruptan oluşan değişkenler için ANOVA testi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca değişkenler arasındaki farklılıkların test edilmesi amacıyla Tukey Post Hoc testi uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar %95 güven aralığında ve p<0,05 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir.

Bu çalışmanın bulguları doğrultusunda; beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin Covid-19’a ilişkin görüşleri değerlendirildiğinde, kadın öğretmenlerin ve ileri yaş grubundaki öğretmenlerin Covid-19’a ilişkin duygu düşünce ve davranış boyutundaki görüş düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte okul türü değişkeni ve öğretmenlerin Covid-19’a yakalanma durumları ile Covid-19’a ilişkin görüşleri dikkate alındığında aralarında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmezken, öğretmenlerin görev yaptıkları il ile Covid-19’a ilişkin görüşleri arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin Covid-19 sürecindeki motivasyonları değerlendirildiğinde ise; cinsiyet, yaş ve Covid-19’a yakalanma durumları ile motivasyon düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmazken, öğretmenlerin görev yaptıkları il ile okul türünün motivasyon düzeyleri ile arasında anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak; Batı Karadeniz Bölgesinde görev yapan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin Covid-19’a ilişkin görüşleri ve motivasyonları ile araştırma değişkenleri arasında çoğunlukla anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu tespit edilmiş ve bu bulgular literatüre kazandırılarak çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to examine the views and motivation levels of physical education and sports teachers in the Western Black Sea Region about Covid-19 during the Covid-19 process and investigate their differences in terms of various variables. The study group of the research consists of 300 physical education and sports teachers working in the provinces of Bartın, Bolu, Düzce, Kastamonu, Karabük and Zonguldak in the Western Black Sea Region. In order to determine the socio-demographic information of the teachers participating in the research, the personal information form developed by the researcher was used. As a data collection tool; The "Multidimensional Covid-19 Scale" developed by Batıgün and Ertürk in 2020, and the "Teacher Vocational Motivation Scale" developed by Karabağ Köse, Karataş, Küçükçene and Taş were used. SPSS 26 (Statistical Package for Social Science) program was used for the data obtained. In statistical analyses, normal distribution test and descriptive statistics test were applied to the data, and according to the normality test results obtained, Independent Samples T Test and ANOVA test were applied for variables consisting of two different groups. In addition, Tukey Post Hoc test was applied to test the differences between the variables. The results were evaluated at 95% confidence interval and p<0.05 significance level.

Considering the results of this study, when the opinions of physical education and sports teachers on Covid-19 were evaluated, it was determined that female teachers and teachers in the older age group had higher levels of emotion, thought and behavior regarding Covid-19. However, considering the school type variable and teachers' Covid-19 transmission status and their opinions on Covid-19, there was no significant difference between them, but there were significant differences between the province they attended and their views on Covid-19.

When the motivations of physical education and sports teachers in the Covid-19 process were evaluated, there was no significant difference between gender, age, Covid-19 transmission status and motivation, but it was observed that there were significant differences between the province they participated in and the motivation levels of the school type. Finally, various suggestions were presented according to the findings obtained from the study.
