ABSTRACT
Culture, which is one of the definitions that best describes the way of existence, is a whole with the elements it contains in the formation of the identity of societies. Culture, which is formed with tangible and intangible elements, undertakes the task of connecting the past and the future. The Black Sea Region, which is one of the seven regions of Turkey, can be easily distinguished from other regions in terms of its cultural characteristics.
The Black Sea culture, which reflects the common values of the communities formed by the people living in the Black Sea Region, was formed by blending the geographical features of the region, the daily lives of the people, traditions and customs, language, religion, and lifestyles. All these values created by societies in the past remain as cultural heritage for future generations. As a cultural heritage, it cannot be denied that the painters had a great share in the introduction and transfer of the Black Sea culture to current and future generations, when the historical process is examined. In this context, the works of Turkish painters, who focused on the Black Sea Culture and reflected the Black Sea Culture in their works, were examined in the works of Contemporary Turkish Painting Artists.
This research is a descriptive study using qualitative research method. A wide literature review, which is a scientific study on the subject of the research, was conducted. It is thought that these works of painters who reflect the Black Sea culture on their works, which contain different subjects, are a document in the transfer of culture to future generations in the future. It is also seen that Contemporary Turkish Painting is a part of the richness of content with the preservation of these cultural values in the region and their reflection on the art of painting. These artifacts worth preserving are a tangible cultural heritage to be left to the future.
