İngiltere’nin Terörle Mücadelesi: IRA Örneği

Abstract

ÖZET İnsanlık tarihinin varoluşundan itibaren devam eden hayatta kalma ve yönetme arzusu dönemlerin her devrinde mevcuttur. Terörün sadece savaş olarak değil, iki kardeşin arasında bile olabilmesi söz konusudur. Kimlik ve etnik milliyetçilik olgusu terörün sebeplerini oluşturan ve nasıl şekillendiğini göstermek amacıyla var olmuştur. Birleşik Krallık ’da yaşanan terör olaylarına çözüm ve bakış açıları zaman içerisinde oluşan hukuksal sonuçları bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada terörün etnik boyutlu yönünün ele alınması ve bu uğurda yıllardır savaşan İrlanda ve İngiltere meselesinin kökenlerine inilmiştir. Dünya’da etnik kökenli, çıkan terör örgütleri olan BASK, ETA ve IRA gibi, örgütlerinin neden ortaya çıktığı anlatılarak terörün farklı türleri araştırılmıştır. Protestan ve Katolik görüşlerin ayrılması İngiltere’nin tarihsel süreç boyunca terörle mücadelesi etmesinin kaynağıdır. Ayrıca çalışmada terörün tarihsel arka planına inilerek uluslararası boyutta terörün nasıl tanımlandığı tek tek kavramsal manası ortaya konulmuştur. Birleşik Krallık’ın İrlanda halkına yaptığı baskılar bunun neticesinde oluşan İrlanda milliyetçiliğinin temelleri araştırılmıştır. Sinn Fein Partisi ve İrlanda milliyetçiliği için mücadele veren liderlerin toplumlar üzerindeki etkisi açıklanmıştır. Ulusal kimlik bağımsızlığı elde etmek isteyen İrlanda Cumhuriyet Ordusu’nun (IRA) örgüt yapısı ve oluşum süreçleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın son kısmında ise İngiltere’nin Brexit sürecinde yaşadığı süreçler ele alınarak sonuç kısmına varılmıştır. Son bölümde çalışmada yer alan bölümlerin problem ve bulguları araştırmanın analiz kısmında yer almıştır. Araştırmanın literatürde ayrı bir yerinin olacağı ve araştırmacılara katkısının olacağı bir çalışma olacağı düşünülmektedir.

ABSTRACT The desire to survive and rule, which has continued since the existence of human history, is present in every period. Terrorism is not only a war; there is a possibility could happen even between two brothers. The phenomenon of identity and ethnic nationalism was formed to show the causes of terrorism and how it is shaped. Terrorist incidents in the UK have legal consequences, solutions, and perspectives in time. In this context, addressing the ethnic dimension of terrorism and Ireland and England, who have been fighting for this cause for years, went to the issue's roots. Different types of terrorism have been researched by explaining the ethnic origins of the world and the reasons for the emergence of terrorist organizations such as BASK, ETA and IRA. The separation of Protestant and Catholic views is the source of Britain's historical struggle with terrorism. In addition, by going down to the historical background of terrorism, the conceptual meaning of how terrorism is defined at the international level is revealed. The pressures of the United Kingdom on the Irish people and the foundations of Irish nationalism, as a result, were investigated. The effects of the leaders fighting for the Sinn Fein Party and Irish nationalism on societies are explained. The organizational structure and formation processes of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), which wants to achieve national identity independence, are discussed. In the last part of the study, the processes experienced by the UK in the Brexit process were discussed, and the conclusion part was reached. In the last part, the problems and findings of the sections in the study are included in the analysis part of the research. It is a study subject that the investigation will have a different place in the literature and will contribute to the researchers.
