Öğretmenlerin Meslek Algısı ve Bu Algının Oluşmasına Etki Eden Faktörler

Abstract

ÖZ Bu çalışma, öğretmenlerin meslek algılarını incelemeye yönelik nitel ve nicel veri setleri kullanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde eğitimin tarihsel süreci ele alınmıştır. Farklı dönemlerde ve farklı toplumlardaki eğitim sistemleri incelenmiştir. Türkiye’de özellikle Cumhuriyetin ilanından sonrası eğitim sistemindeki değişimler incelenmiştir. Konuyla ilgili farklı görüşlerden yararlanılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin meslek algısının oluşmasıyla ilgili teorik bilgilere yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde öğretmenin mesleğini icra ederken ilişki içinde olduğu öğrenci, öğretmen (meslektaş), idareci ve veli ile oluşan ilişki ağları incelenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin meslek algısını ölçmek üzere araştırmacı ve danışmanı tarafından orijinal bir ölçek oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan bu ölçek internet üzerinden katılımcılara ulaştırılarak sonuçları spss programında değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları frekans tabloları ve ki-kare analizleri sonucu değişkenler arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş ve sonuçlar tablolar halinde sunulmuştur.

ABSTRACT This study was created by using qualitative and quantitative data sets to examine teachers' perceptions of their profession. In the first part of the research, the historical process of education is discussed. Education systems in different periods and in different societies have been examined. The changes in the education system in Turkey, especially after the proclamation of the Republic, were examined. Different views on the subject have been used. Theoretical information about the formation of teachers' perception of profession is given. In the second part, the relationship networks formed with students, teachers (colleagues), administrators and parents, with whom the teacher is in contact while performing his profession, were examined. An original scale was created by the researcher and his supervisor to measure the perception of the profession of teachers. This created scale was delivered to the participants over the internet and the results were evaluated in the SPSS program. As a result of the frequency tables and chi-square analyzes of the research results, the relationship between the variables was examined and the results were presented in tables.
