Veri Zarflama Analizi ve Finansal Etkinlik: Borsa İstanbul-Tekstil, Giyim Eşyası ve Deri Sektörü Firmaları Üzerine Ampirik Bir Araştırma

Abstract

ÖZ Bu çalışmanın amacı; BİST-Tekstil, Giyim Eşyası ve Deri Sektörü’nde son sekiz yılda pay piyasasında işlem gören 18 firmanın etkinliğini, 2013-2020 dönem verisi, dört girdi ve iki çıktı olmak üzere toplam altı değişkenle girdi odaklı CCR modeline göre VZA yöntemiyle belirlemektir. Çalışmanın analiz sonuçlarında VZA yönteminin girdi odaklı CCR modelinin uygulanması ile 2013 yılı için 3 firma, 2014 yılı için 6 firma, 2015 yılı için 7 firma, 2016 yılı için 3 firma, 2017 yılı için 10 firma, 2018 yılı için 5 firma, 2019 yılı için 4 firma ve 2020 yılı için 5 firmanın etkin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlarda en fazla etkin firma sayısının 2017 yılı için 10 firma olduğu, en az etkin firma sayısının ise 2013 yılı için 3 ve 2016 yılı için 3 olduğu belirlenmiştir. Diğer yandan 2013 yılı için 15 firma, 2014 yılı için 12 firma, 2015 yılı için 11 firma, 2016 yılı için 15 firma, 2017 yılı için 8 firma, 2018 yılı için 13 firma, 2019 yılı için 14 firma ve 2020 yılı için 13 firmanın etkin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre en fazla etkin olmayan firma sayısının 2013 yılı için 15 firma ve 2016 yılı için 15 firma olduğu, en az etkin olmayan firma sayısının ise 2017 yılı için 8 olduğu belirlenmiştir. BİST-Tekstil, Giyim Eşyası ve Deri Sektörü’nde 2013-2020 dönemi için firmaların ortalama etkinlik değerlerine göre; en yüksek ortalama etkinlik değerinin 0,864 ile 2017 için elde edildiği, en düşük ortalama etkinlik değerinin ise 0,736 ile 2014 yılı için gerçekleştiği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmadaki 8 yıllık veri setinin analizinde; DERIM firması (2013 yılı hariç) ve SNPAM firmasının (2019 yılı hariç) 7 yıl için etkin olmaları, bu firmaların etkinlik istikrarını korumada başarılı oldukları şeklinde değerlendirilmiştir. Diğer 16 firmanın ise genel olarak finansal etkinliği sağlamada başarı gösteremediği gözlenmiştir.

ABSTRACT This study and its objectives aim to assess the efficiency of 18 companies traded in the stock market in the BIST-Textile, Clothing, and Leather Sector in the last eight years by the DEA method according to the input-oriented CCR model with 2013-2020 period data, four inputs, and two outputs, with a total of six variables. In the study, the input-oriented CCR model of the DEA method was applied. In empirical analysis, It has been determined that 3 firms in 2013, 6 firms in 2014, 7 firms in 2015, 3 firms in 2016, 10 firms in 2017, 5 firms in 2018, 4 firms in 2019, and 5 firms in 2020. In these results, it was determined that the highest number of efficient firms was 10 for 2017, the least number of efficient firms was 3 for 2013 and 3 for 2016. On the other hand, 15 firms in 2013, 12 firms in 2014, 11 firms in 2015, 15 firms in 2016, 8 firms in 2017, 13 firms in 2018, 14 firms in 2019, and 13 firms in 2020 are inefficient. According to these results, it was determined that the highest number of inactive firms was 15 firms for 2013 and 15 firms for 2016, while the least number of ineffective firms was 8 for 2017. According to the average efficiency values of the companies for the 2013-2020 period in the BIST-Textile, Clothing and Leather Sector, it was determined that the highest average efficiency value was obtained for 2017 with 0.864, and the lowest average efficiency value was 0.736 for 2014. In the analysis of the 8-year data set in the study; the fact that DERIM firm (except 2013) and SNPAM firm (except 2019) were efficiency for 7 years was evaluated as that these firms were successful in maintaining their efficiency stability. It was observed that the other 16 firms were not successful in providing financial efficiency in general.
