KARABÜK ÖĞLEBELİ MAHALLESİNİN KÜLTÜREL MİRAS POTANSİYELİ OLAN GELENEKSEL DOKU ÖZELLİKLERİ, KORUMA SORUNLARI VE SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİĞİ İÇİN ÖNERİLER

Abstract

ÖZET

Mekanlar, olaylar ve yaşam arasındaki bağlantı kent kimliği bilinci ile sağlanmaktadır. Bu yüzden kent kimliğini oluşturan öğeleri tespit etmek ve korumak çok önemlidir. Sürdürülebilirliği adına şehirlerin belleğini oluşturan zaman-olay-mekan ilişkisini kurmak, öneminin farkında olmak ve gelecek nesillere aktarılmasını sağlayarak kent hafızasını taze tutmak gerekmektedir.

Karabük şehri, tarihi süresince dönüm noktaları yaşamış ve kısa zaman diliminde önemli gelişim sağlamış bir yerleşim alanıdır. Dönüm noktalarından en büyüğü olan Kardemir Demir Çelik Fabrikası kurulmasıdır. Karabük fabrika kurulmadan önce Öğlebeli Köyü’nün bir mahallesidir. Günümüzde ise Öğlebeli, Karabük’ün Merkez ilçesinin bir mahallesidir. Bu durum Öğlebeli Mahallesi ve çevresini kent hafızası için değerli bir odak noktası haline getirmektedir.

Öğlebeli Mahallesi, mahalleyerleşimi ve öğeleri bakımından geleneksel mimarlık ürünlerini barındırmaktadır. Öğlebeli Mahallesinin, Karabük’ün bir mahalleden bir kent olma yolundaki rolünü; mahalledeki mimari değerleri, izlerinin devam ettiği geleneksel dokuyu, konut yapılaşmalarındaki katmanlaşmayı ortaya çıkarmak böylece kuşaklara aktarılmasını sağlamak amacıyla bu çalışma yapılmıştır. Mahalle; Osmanlı Mahallesi, gecekondulaşma, çözüm ve üretim mekânlarını bir arada bulundurduğu zenginlik açısından incelenmiştir. Öğlebeli Mahallesi akademik bir çalışma kapsamın daha önce konu olmadığı için bu alan üzerinde analizler, okumalar ve görüşmeler yapılmıştır.

Çalışma alanı olarak seçilen mahalle, barındırdığı kırsal mimarlık özellikleri ile kentleşme arasındaki aşamaları, yaşadığı göçler, yerleşim-yapılaşma, malzeme kullanımı, kültürel ve sosyal çeşitliliği incelenmiştir.

Yapı, sokak, mahalle bazında yapılan analizler ve incelemeler ile mahallenin eksik, güçlü yönleri ve sorunları belirlenmiş, korunması gereken değerler ortaya çıkarılmış, Öğlebeli mahallesinin sürdürülebilirliği için bölgeye uygun öneriler getirilmiştir.

ABSTRACT

Connection between places, events and life is provided by awareness of urban identity. That is why it is very important to identify and protect the elements that make up the identity of the city. In order to ensure sustainability, it is necessary to establish the time-event-space relationship that forms the memory of cities, to be aware of its importance and to keep the city memory fresh by ensuring that it is passed on to future generations.

Karabük city is a residential area that has achieved significant development in a short period of time with its turning points during its history. Being a neighborhood of Öğlebeli Village before the establishment of Kardemir Iron and Steel Factory, which is the largest of the turning points, and the fact that Öğlebeli residential area is now a neighborhood of Karabük, constitutes a valuable focus for the city's memory.

Although it is located in the center of the city, the Öğlebeli Neighborhood contains traditional architectural products. This study was carried out in order to reveal the role of Öğlebeli Neighborhood in Karabük's way of becoming a city from a neighborhood; the architectural values in the neighborhood, the traditional texture that its traces continue, and the stratification in housing structures so that it can be passed on to generations. The neighborhood was examined in terms of the wealth that the Ottoman Neighborhood has, the Decimation, solution and production spaces. As the Öğlebeli Neighborhood was not the subject of an academic study before, analyses, readings and interviews were conducted on this area.

The neighborhood selected as the study area, the stages between the rural architectural features it contains and urbanization, the migrations it experiences, settlement-Deconstruction, material use, cultural and social diversity were examined.

With the analysis and examinations carried out on the basis of structure, street, neighborhood, the missing, strengths and problems of the neighborhood were determined, the values that should be protected were revealed, and appropriate recommendations were made to the region for the sustainability of the Öğlebeli neighborhood.
