Orta Doğu’daki Mezhepler ve Bu Mezheplerin Bölgesel Güvenlik Üzerindeki Etkileri

Abstract

ÖZ Orta Doğu, tarih boyunca coğrafi yapısı, jeopolitik konumu, zengin yer altı kaynakları ile uluslararası güçlerin ilgisini çeken bir bölge olmuştur. Bu özellikleri ile birçok devlete ev sahipliği yapmış olan bölge, aynı zamanda medeniyetlerin beşiği olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Birçok zenginliği bir arada bulunan Orta Doğu’da farklı medeniyetlerin bulunması bölgedeki sanat, edebiyat, dil, din, tarih gibi birçok başlıkta farklı eserlerin ve çeşitliliğin ortaya çıkmasında etkili olmuştur. Bu çeşitlilik daha sonradan diğer medeniyetlerin de tanınması ile birlikte daha da geniş bir yelpazeye yayılmıştır. Bölge, son bir asırlık sürede savaşların ve yoğun çatışmaların yaşandığı bir alan haline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmada bir dönem medeniyetin beşiği olarak tanımlanan Orta Doğu’nun, ilerleyen süreçte çatışma alanı haline gelmesinin temel sebepleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu sebeplerden başta geleni, bölgede var olan ve zaman zaman şiddet ve çatışma doğuran mezhep ayrışmalarıdır. Her geçen gün derinleşen mezhep temelli çatışmalar gerek bölgenin gerekse de ayrı ayrı devletlerinin geleceği açısından büyük bir sorun teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmada, çatışmalara neden olan mezheplerin hangi ortamda doğup geliştikleri; din algısı, pratiği ve siyasi boyutu konu alınmıştır. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde İslam dini, mezhepsel ayrışmalar ve siyasal bağlamda sorunun çerçevesi çizilmeye çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde İslam dünyasındaki mezhep eksenli çatışmalar ve ana aktörleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise 20. yüzyılın sonundaki ve 21. yüzyılın başındaki mezhepler temelinde gelişen çatışmaların bölgesel güvenlik üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri açıklığa kavuşturulmuştur.

ABSTRACT Throughout history, the Middle East has been a region that has attracted the attention of international powers with its geographical structure, geopolitical position and rich underground resources. The region, which has hosted many states with these features, is also defined as the cradle of civilizations. The presence of different civilizations in the Middle East, which has many riches together, has been effective in the emergence of different works and diversity in many topics such as art, literature, language, religion and history in the region. This diversity has spread to an even wider range with the recognition of other civilizations. In the last century, the region has become an area of wars and intense conflicts. In this context, this study will focus on the main reasons why the Middle East, which was once described as the cradle of civilization, has become an area of conflict in the following period. The main reason for this is the sectarian divisions in the region, which have led to violence and conflict from time to time. The deepening sectarian conflicts pose a major problem for the future of the region and its individual states. The study focuses on the environment in which the sects that cause conflicts were born and developed; the perception, practice and political dimension of religion. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, it is tried to draw the framework of the problem in the context of Islam, sectarian divisions and political context. The second part focuses on sectarian conflicts in the Islamic world and their main actors. In the third and final part, the negative effects of sectarian conflicts in the late 20th and early 21st centuries on regional security are clarified.
