Entelektüel Sermaye Unsurlarına Dayalı Bir Performans Ölçümü; Borsa İstanbul’da Bir Uygulama

Bilgi ve teknolojinin neredeyse her alanda kullanıldığı günümüz dünyasında, entelektüel sermaye gün geçtikçe daha önemli ve daha değerli bir unsur olmuş, modern işletmeler için vazgeçilmez bir kaynak haline gelmiştir. İşletmeler sahip oldukları entelektüel sermaye kaynaklarını en verimli şekilde yöneterek performanslarını ve karlarını en yüksek seviye çıkarabilmekte ve katma değer oluşturabilmektedirler. Bu amaçla, işletmeler, insan sermayesi, yapısal sermaye ve müşteri sermayesi gibi entelektüel sermaye unsurlarına yatırım yapmakta ve bu unsurları doğru ve etkin bir şekilde yönetmeye yoğun çaba göstermektedirler. Bu bağlamda, işletmelerde entelektüel sermaye performans değerlendirmesi önemli bir konu olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Borsa İstanbul’da (BİST) faaliyet gösteren Metal Eşya, Makine, Elektrik Cihazları ve Ulaşım Araçları sektöründe yer alan işletmelerin entelektüel sermaye performanslarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, analiz kapsamında ihtiyaç duyulan verilerin tümüne eksiksiz ulaşılabilen 21 işletme çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. İşletmelerin 2016-2020 dönemine ilişkin 5 yıllık verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada entelektüel sermaye performans değerlendirme kriterleri: çalışan sayısı (maliyet), Ar-ge giderleri (maliyet), pazarlama giderleri (maliyet), kullanılan sermaye (maliyet), PD-DD (fayda) ve net satışlar (fayda) şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra CRİTİC yöntemi aracılığıyla kriterlerin ağırlıkları tespit edilmiş ve Gri İlişkisel Analiz yöntemi kullanılarak veriler analiz edilmiş ve elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmıştır.

ABSTRACT In today’s world, where information and technology are used in almost every field, intellectual capital has become a more important and more valuable element day by day and has become an indispensable resource for modern businesses. By managing their intellectual capital resources in the most efficient way, businesses can maximize their performance and profits and create added value. For this purpose, businesses invest in intellectual capital elements such as human capital, structural capital and customer capital and make great efforts to manage these elements correctly and effectively. In this context, intellectual capital performance evaluation in enterprises emerges as an important issue. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the intellectual capital performances of the companies operating in the Metal Goods, Machinery, Electrical Devices and Transportation Vehicles sector operating in Borsa Istanbul (BIST). In this context, 21 businesses, where all of the data needed within the scope of the analysis can be reached completely, were included in the study. The 5-year data of the enterprises for the period 2016-2020 were used. In the study, intellectual capital performance evaluation criteria were determined as: number of employees (cost), R&D expenses (cost), marketing expenses (cost), capital employed (cost), PD-DD (benefit) and net sales (benefit). Then, criteria weights were determined by CRITIC method. Consequently, employing Gray Relational Analysis, the data were analyzed and the findings were interpreted.
