Düzce Merkez İlçesinde Araziden Yararlanma Biçimlerindeki Değişimlerin Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri ve Uzaktan Algılama Teknikleri ile İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZ Bu çalışmada Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri ve Uzaktan Algılama teknikleri kullanılarak Düzce Merkez İlçesinde araziden yararlanma biçimlerinde meydana gelen değişimler incelenmiştir. Düzce, 17 Ağustos ve 12 Kasım 1999 depremleri nedeniyle uğramış olduğu yıkımın kısa sürede telafi edilebilmesi amacıyla 09.12.1999 tarihinde il statüsüne kavuşmuştur. Düzce Merkez İlçesinin gelişme sürecinde araziden yararlanma biçimlerinde meydana gelen değişimlerin ortaya konulması ve araziden yanlış yararlanma sorunlarına çözüm önerileri sunulması tezin temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında Düzce Merkez İlçesinin Harita Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından belirlenen ilçe sınırları verisine göre belirlenen merkez ilçe alanının 1999, 2010 ve 2020 yılı uydu görüntüleri üzerinden kontrollü sınıflandırma yöntemi kullanılarak analizler yapılmıştır. Uydu görüntülerinin kontrollü sınıflama yöntemiyle incelenmesi sonucunda ortaya çıkan veriler doğruluk analizinden geçirilmiştir. Sonuç verileri Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri programları kullanılarak tematik haritalara çevrilerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre; Düzce Merkez İlçesinde araştırmanın kapsamında olan 21 yıllık süre boyunca şehir yapısı, orman alanları, diğer yapay yüzeyler sınıflarındaki alanlar artarken yamaç ve çıplak alanlar sınıfındaki araziler ile tarım alanları azalmıştır. Yamaç ve çıplak araziler sınıfındaki alanların azalması, orman alanların artması ile gerçekleştiğinden olumlu bir gelişme olarak görülürken şehir yapısında ve diğer yapay alanlarındaki artış tarım arazilerinin azalmasına neden olduğundan olumsuz bir gelişme olarak görülmektedir. Bu nedenle çözüm önerileri kısmında şehir yapısı ve sanayi bölgelerinin gelecekte hazırlanacak olan yapılaşma planlarında tarım arazileri dışındaki alanlara inşa edilmesi göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır.

ABSTRACT In this study, the changes in the way of utilizing the land in Düzce Central Districtwere examined by using Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing techniques. Düzce gained the status of a province on 09.12.999 in order to compensate for the destruction it suffered due to the earthquakes of 17 August and 12 November 1999.Themain purpose of the thesis is to reveal the changes in the ways of using the land in the development process of Düzce Central District and to offer solutions to the problems of wrong use of the land. Within the scope of the research, analyzes were made using the controlled classification method on the satellite images of the central district area determined according to the district boundaries data determined by the General Directorate of Mapping of Düzce Central District in 1999, 2010 and 2020. The data obtained as a result of examining the satellite images with the controlled classification method were subjected to accuracy analysis. The results were interpreted by converting them into thematic maps using Geographic Information Systems programs. According to the findings obtained in the research; During the 21 years within the scope of the research in Düzce District, while the areas in the urban structure, forest areas, and other artificial surfaces classes increased, the lands on the slope and bare areas class and agricultural areas decreased. The decrease in the areas in the slope and bare lands class is seen as a positive development since it occurs with the increase of forest areas, while the increase in the city structure and other artificial areas is seen as a negative development as it causes a decrease in agricultural lands. For this reason, in the solution proposals part, the city structure and industrial zones should be built on areas other than agricultural lands in the construction plans to be prepared in the future.
