SAĞLIKLI GENÇ BİREYLERİN AURICULA’SINDAN ELDE EDİLEN ANTROPOMETRİK ÖLÇÜMLER İLE SOMATOTİPİN İLİŞKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu çalışma kapsamında, sağlıklı genç bireylerin auriculasından elde edilen antropometrik ölçümler ile somatotiplerinin ilişkilendirilmesi amaçlandı. Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipte gerçekleştirildi.

Araştırma Ocak-2022 ile Haziran-2022 tarihleri arasında, Karabük Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi ve Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik ve Ebelik bölümünde eğitim görmekte olan öğrenciler üzerinde gerçekleştirildi. Araştırma örneklemi oluşturulurken herhangi bir kraniyofasiyal cerrahi operasyon geçirmemiş olmak (özellikle auricula cerrahisi), sağlıklı ve gönüllülük esası baz alındı. Araştırma örneklemini 18-30 yaş arasında 141’si kadın ve 115’i erkek olmak üzere 256 öğrenci oluşturdu. Araştırma verileri toplanırken, bireylerin auricula fotoğrafları belirlenmiş standartları olan ve karelere bölünmüş sabit bir panonun önünde çekildi. Çekilen fotoğraflar jpeg formatına dönüştürülerek bilgisayarda görüntülenip auricula üzerinde belirlenen 9 antropometrik nokta arası mesafeler Image J (version 1.53e) programında ölçüldü. Katılımcıların somatotipleri ise Heath – Carter somatotip yöntemiyle belirlendi. Katılımcıların somatotiplerinin belirlenmesi için boy uzunluğu, kilo, kol çevresi, baldır çevresi, diz genişliği, dirsek genişliği, triceps dkk, subscapular dkk, supraspinal dkk ve baldır dkk olmak üzere 10 adet antropometrik ölçüm yapıldı. Yapılan ölçümler IBM SPSS Statistics 23 programına aktarılarak istatistiksel veriler oluşturuldu.

Çalışmadaki bireylerin %16,01’i mezomorf-endomorf, %12,8’i endomorfik-mezomorf, %13,2’si dengeli ektomorf, %21,8’i mezomorfik-endomorf, %8,5’i endomorf-ektomorf, %9,3’ü central, %10,1’i ektomorfik-endomorf, %7,8’i dengeli endomorf olmak üzere gruba 8 dağıldığı görüldü. Dengeli ektomorfi grubu ile T-H arasında mezomorfik endomorf grubu ile Inint-Sba arasında endomorfik ektomorf grubu ile Pa-Crura antiheliksin en mediali arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki olduğu (p<0,05), erkek ve kadın bireylere ait auricula morfometrisi parametrelerinin tümünde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki olduğu (p<0,05), son olarakta erkeklerde T-Sba parametresi ile Inint-Sba ve Sa-Sba parametreleri arasında ve Obs-Pa parametresi ile T-Ah parametresi arasında, kadınlarda ise T-Sba parametresi ile Inint-Sba parametresi arasında çok yüksek şiddette ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır (p<0,05). Vücut kitle indeksi (VKİ) ile somatotip grupları arasında ilişki olduğu bulunmuş (p<0,05) ve VKİ’de hangi somatotip grupları arasında ilişki olduğunu saptamak için Pairwise Comparisons testi kullanılarak somatotip grupları arasında ilişki belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda auricula morfometrisi ile somatotip arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyen daha fazla çalışma yapılması önerilmektedir.

ABSTRACT

This study, it was aimed to correlate anthropometric measurements obtained from the auricula of healthy young individuals with their somatotypes. The research was carried out in descriptive and relationship-seeking types.

The research was carried out between January-2022 and June-2022, on the students who were studying at Karabuk University Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery departments. The research sample was formed based on not having undergone any craniofacial surgery (especially auricula surgery), being healthy, and volunteering. The research sample consisted of 256 students, 141 female and 115 male, between the ages of 18-30. While collecting research data, photographs of individuals' auricula were taken in front of a fixed board with set standards and divided into squares. The photographs taken were converted to jpeg format, viewed on the computer, and the distances between 9 anthropometric points determined on the auricula were measured in the Image J (version 1.53e) program. The somatotypes of the participants were determined by the Heath-Carter somatotype method. In order to determine the somatotypes of the participants, 10 anthropometric measurements including height, weight, arm circumference, calf circumference, knee width, elbow width, triceps skinfold thickness (SFT), subscapular SFT, supraspinal SFT and calf SFT were made. The measurements were transferred to the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program and statistical data were created.

It was determined that individuals in this study were distributed into 8 groups 9.3% central, 10.1% ectomorphic-endomorphic, 7.8% balanced endomorphy, 16.01% mesomorph-endomorph, 12.8% endomorphic-mesomorph, 13.2% balanced ectomorph, 21.8% mesomorphic-endomorph, 8.5% endomorph-ectomorph. It was determined that there was a significant relationship between the balanced ectomorph group and T-H, between the mesamorphic endomorph group and Inint-Sba, between the endomorphic ectomorph group and the most medial of the Pa-Crura antihelix (p< 0.05), There is a significant relationship in all auricula morphometry parameters of male and female individuals (p<0,05). Finally, it was concluded that there was a very high correlation between T-Sba parameter and Inint-Sba and Sa-Sba parameters in men, between Obs-Pa parameter and T-Ah parameter, and between T-Sba parameter and Inint-Sba parameter in women (p<0,05). A relationship was found between body mass index (BMI) and somatotype groups (p<0,05), and a relationship was determined between somatotype groups by using Pairwise Comparisons test to determine which somatotype groups were related in BMI. As a result of the study, it is recommended to conduct more studies examining the relationship between auricula morphometry and somatotype.
