İnsan Sonrası Fail Üzerine Bir İçerik Analizi: Humans Dizisi Örneği

Abstract

ÖZ Bu çalışma, dijital dönüşümün dünyayı küresel bir kırılmanın eşiğine getirdiği noktadan yeşeren insan sonrası fail tartışmasını konu edinmektedir. İnsanlık tarihinin her döneminde ayrı gündemlerde tartışılan fail meselesi humanoidlerin ve sibernetik organizmaların toplumsal yapıya dâhil olmasının sarsıcı deneyimiyle bugün başka bir boyuta taşınmıştır. Bu da insanlığın içinden geçtiği tüm kritik dönüm noktalarında olduğu gibi yaratılan yeni bağlamda üzerinde bir daha düşünülmesi gereken bazı kavramları beraberinde getirmektedir. Ayrıca tüm bunlar sonucunda yaşadığımız gerçekliğin sosyal bilimlerdeki yerleşik bakışla anlaşılabilmenin çok ötesine geçtiği ve sosyolojinin yeni yaklaşımlar arayışında olduğu açıkça görülmektedir. Bu gereklilikle insan dışındaki öteki dijital yaşam formlarının da toplumsal süreçleri şekillendirme becerisine sahip bir fail olarak ele alınabilmesine imkân tanıyan “İnsan Sonrası Kuramı” bu çalışmaya yeni anlam kapıları açmıştır. Bu sayede sosyolojik perspektifin insan-robot etkileşimine kullanıcı araç ilişkisi çerçevesinin dışına çıkarak toplumsal yapının bir parçası olarak bakabilmesi mümkün kılınmıştır. Sözün kısası bu araştırmada içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak gündelik yaşamda en sade haliyle robot deneyimlerinin ve insan-robot etkileşiminin konu edildiği Humans bilim kurgu dizisi ele alınarak kendimizi içerisinde bulduğumuz biyolojik/dijital karmaşık etkileşimlerin kalbinde failin durumu, kapasitesi ve toplumsal alandaki konumu açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Tüm bunlar sonucunda insan davranışın insan dışındaki dijital yaşam formlarının faaliyetlerinden hangi bağlamda ayrıldığı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Son olarak insan sonrası durumun aslında sandığımızın aksine ne kadar yakınında durduğumuza ve yeni faile dair toplumsal zihinde deneyimlenen anlam krizine işaret edilmektedir.

ABSTRACT This study focuses on the posthuman agency debate that has emerged from the point where digital transformation has brought the world to the brink of a global rupture. The issue of agency, which has been discussed in different agendas in every period of human history, has moved to another dimension today with the shocking experience of the inclusion of humanoids and cybernetic organisms in the social structure. This brings along some concepts that need to be rethought in the new context created, as in all critical turning points that humanity has gone through. In addition, as a result of all these, it is clearly seen that the reality we live in has gone far beyond being understood with the established perspective in social sciences and that sociology is in search of new approaches. With this necessity, "Posthuman Theory", which allows for the consideration of digital life forms other than human beings as agents capable of shaping social processes, has opened new doors of meaning for this study. In this way, it is possible for the sociological perspective to look at the human-robot interaction as a part of the social structure by going beyond the framework of the user-robot relationship. In short, by using the content analysis method in this research, the Humans science fiction series, which deals with robot experiences and human-robot interaction in its simplest form in everyday life, was analyzed to reveal the status, capacity and position of the agent in the social sphere at the heart of the biological/digital complex interactions in which we find ourselves. As a result of all these, the context in which human behavior differs from the activities of non-human digital life forms is revealed. Finally, it is pointed out how close we stand to the posthuman condition, contrary to what we think, and the crisis of meaning experienced in the social mind regarding the new agent
