Covid-19 Öncesi ve Sonrası Dönemde Uzaktan Çalışma

Abstract

ÖZ Covid-19 pandemisi ile gündeme gelen uzaktan çalışma modeli tüm işletmeler tarafından kısa sürede kabul gören bir model halini almıştır. Geçmişte şirketler tarafından pek tercih edilmemiş olan uzaktan çalışma modelinin bu dönemde oldukça fazla öneme sahip olması, şirket ya da kurumların Covid-19 öncesindeki durumu ve Covid-19 sonrasındaki durumunun literatürdeki eksikliği görülmüş ve katkı sağlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Literatürdeki diğer çalışmalarda göz önünde bulundurularak Uzaktan Çalışma kavramı ilk önce Esnek Çalışma ile açıklanmaya çalışılmış, daha sonra Uzaktan Çalışma kavramına geçilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada, uzaktan çalışanların veya uzaktan çalışma deneyimine üst düzey pozisyona sahip katılımcıların, görüş ve deneyimlerinden faydalanılarak Uzaktan Çalışmanın Covid-19 pandemisinin öncesinde ve sonrasındaki tutumlarına, avantajları ve dezavantajlarına ve Uzaktan Çalışmanın geleceği hakkındaki görüşlerinin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Katılımcılar çalışma yaşamlarındaki değişimi "mesai saatlerinin azaltılması ve yeni çalışma düzeni" olarak ifade etmişlerdir. Yapılan literatür çalışmaları ve mülakat çalışması ile, uzaktan çalışmanın avantajlarının yanı sıra dezavantajlarının da olduğunu göstermektedir. Ancak, son dönemde yaşanan olaylar sebebiyle, dünya genelinde birçok şirket ve kurum uzaktan çalışma modeline geçiş yapmak durumunda kalmıştır. Uzaktan çalışmanın sahip olduğu avantajların yanı sıra, birçok çalışan için daha rahat ve verimli bir çalışma ortamı sunarak iş hayatının kalitesini arttırdığını göstermektedir. Bu veriler, uzaktan çalışmanın yeni normalde iş hayatımızda daha da önemli bir yer tutacağına işaret etmektedir. Özellikle teknolojinin hızla gelişmesiyle birlikte, uzaktan çalışmanın giderek daha da yaygınlaşacağı öngörülmektedir. Bu nedenle, iş dünyasında uzaktan çalışmanın önemi ve kullanımı konusunda bilgi sahibi olmak, çalışanlar ve işverenler için son derece önemlidir. Bu sayede, iş dünyasında meydana gelen değişimlere uyum sağlayarak verimliliği arttırmak mümkün olacaktır.

ABSTRACT The remote working model, which became prominent with the Covid-19 pandemic, has quickly become an accepted model by all businesses. The increased importance of the remote working model, which was not preferred by companies in the past, during this period was realized and attempts were made to contribute to the literature regarding the situation of companies or institutions before and after Covid-19. In consideration of other studies in the literature, the concept of Remote Working was first explained with Flexible Working, and then the concept was switched to Remote Working. In the study, the attitudes, advantages and disadvantages of Remote Working before and after the Covid-19 pandemic, and the opinions about the future of Remote Working were aimed to be revealed by utilizing the views and experiences of remote workers or participants with a high-level position in remote work. Participants expressed the change in their work lives as "reduced working hours and new working order".The literature and interview studies indicate that remote work has both advantages and disadvantages. However, due to recent events, many companies and organizations around the world have been forced to adopt the remote work model. The data emerging from this transformation process shows that remote work not only has advantages but also provides a more comfortable and efficient working environment for many employees, thus improving the quality of work life. These findings suggest that remote work will play an even more important role in our work lives in the new normal. With the rapid development of technology, remote work is expected to become even more widespread. Therefore, it is crucial for employees and employers to be knowledgeable about the importance and usage of remote work in the business world. This way, it will be possible to adapt to the changes occurring in the business world and increase productivity.
