ÖZET
Üç boyutlu (3B) yazıcılar, eklemeli imalat yöntemleri içinde en fazla araştırılan ve uygulanan üretim teknolojisidir. 3B yazıcılar kullanılarak geleneksel üretim yöntemlerinden farklı olarak parçalar katmanlar halinde üretilir. Karmaşık geometrilerin tek aşamada üretilebilir olması montajlanan parça sayısını ve üretim zamanını önemli oranda azaltmaktadır. Bu yöntemin en büyük dezavantajı parça dayanımının enjeksiyon kalıplama yöntemi ile karşılaştırıldığında düşük olmasıdır. Ancak, kompozit filamentlerin kullanılması ile beraber yazdırılan parça dayanımları önemli ölçüde iyileştirilmiştir. Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, sürekli tel takviyeli (STT) kompozit Polilaktik Asit (PLA) filament üretilmesidir. Kompozit filament üretimi tasarlanan kalıp yardımıyla tek vidalı ekstrüder kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Üretilen kompozit filament kullanılarak çekme test numuneleri yazdırılmış ve dayanımları belirlenmiştir. Deneysel sonuçlar, kompozit filament ile yazdırılan numune dayanımlarının, saf PLA filament ile yazdırılan numune dayanımlarından oldukça yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir.
ABSTRACT
Three-dimensional (3D) printers are the most researched and applied production technology among additive manufacturing methods. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, parts are produced in layers using 3D printers. The fact that complex geometries can be produced in one step significantly reduces the number of assembled parts and production time. The biggest disadvantage of this method is that the part strength is low compared to the injection molding method. However, the strength of the printed part has been significantly improved with the use of composite filaments. The aim of this thesis is to produce continuous wire-reinforced (CWR) composite (Polylactic Acid) PLA filament. Composite filament production was carried out using a single screw extruder with the help of the designed mold. Tensile test specimens were printed using the composite filament and their strengths were determined. Experimental results showed that the strength of specimens printed with composite filament were considerably higher than those printed with pure PLA filament.
