HEMŞİRELERİN İLETİŞİM BECERİLERİ İLE PSİKOSOSYAL BAKIM BECERİLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu araştırmada, hemşirelerin iletişim becerileri ile psikososyal bakım becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın tipi tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikte nicel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Karabük Üniversitesi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesin’deki dahili ve cerrahi kliniklerde çalışan 180 sayıda gönüllü hemşire oluşturmaktadır.Araştırma verileri Katılımcı Bilgi Formu, Psikososyal Bakım Yetkinliği Öz Değerlendirme Ölçeği (PBYÖDÖ), İletişim Becerileri Envanteri (İBE) kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, Bağımsız Örneklem t-testi, Tek Yönlü ANOVA testi, Mann Whitney U Testi, Kruskal Wallis Test, Spearman's rho korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılanların % 82,2’ sinin kadın, % 47,2’sinin 21-30 yaş aralığında, %71,7’sinin lisans mezunu olduğu belirlendi. İBE toplam puan ortalaması 169,65±13,70; PBYÖDÖ toplam puan ortalaması 64,28±13,13 olarak bulundu. İletişim becerileri duygusal boyut puanı; cinsiyet, haftalık çalışma süresi, iletişim eğitimi alma durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir (p<0,05). Psikososyal bakım yetkinliği toplam puanı ortalaması ve tüm alt boyut puan ortalamaları ile hemşirelerin çalıştığı birim istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir (p<0,05). Psikososyal bakım yetkinlikleri toplam puanı (64,28±13,13); bilgiyi kullanma boyutu puanı; tanılama boyutu puanı ile hemşire başına düşen hasta sayısına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir (p<0,05). Psikososyal bakım yetkinlikleri tanılama boyutu puan ortalaması, iletişim eğitimi alma durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir (p<0,05). Hemşirelerin iletişim becerileri toplam puanı ile psikososyal bakım becerileri toplam puanı arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönde bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=0.242; p<0,01). Sonuç olarak hemşirelerin iletişim becerileri ile psikososyal bakım becerileri arasında ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin iletişim becerilerinin arttırılmasının psikososyal bakım becerilerini de arttırabileceği düşünülmektedir.

ABSTRACT

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between nurses' communication skills and psychosocial care skills. The type of research is a descriptive and cross-sectional quantitative study. The sample of the study consists of 180 volunteer nurses working in the internal and surgical clinics of Karabuk University Training and Research Hospital. The research data were obtained by using the Participant Information Form, Psychosocial Care Competency Self-Assessment Scale (PCCSAS), Communication Skills Inventory (CSI). Independent Sample t-test, One-Way ANOVA test, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis Test, Spearman's rho correlation analysis were used to evaluate the data. It was determined that 82,2% of the participants were women, 47,2% were between the ages of 21-30, and 71,7% were undergraduate graduates. The mean total score of CSI was found to be 169,65±13,70 and the mean total score of PCCSAS was found to be 64,28±13,13. Communication skills emotional dimension score; differs significantly according to gender, weekly working time, and receiving communication education (p<0,05). The mean total score of psychosocial care competence and the mean score of all sub-dimensions and the unit where the nurses work show a statistically significant difference (p<0,05). Psychosocial care competencies total score 64,28±13,13; use of information dimension score; there is a statistically significant difference according to the diagnostic dimension score and the number of patients per nurse (p<0,05). Psychosocial care competencies diagnostic dimension mean score differs significantly according to the communication education status (p<0,05). A significant and positive correlation was found between the total score of nurses' communication skills and the total score of psychosocial care skills (r=0,242, p<0,01). As a result, it was determined that there is a relationship between nurses' communication skills and psychosocial care skills. It is thought that increasing the communication skills of nurses can also increase their psychosocial care skills.
