Ağrı’da Düğün Gelenekleri

Abstract

ÖZET Düğünler, Ağrı’da yaşayan insanların günlük hayatlarında evlilik ve aile kurma deneyiminin en belirgin olduğu törenlerdir. Bu çalışmada Ağrı’daki düğün törenlerinin toplumsal kökenlerini ve bu törenlerle ilişkili ritüellerdeki değişimleri analiz etmek ve bu törenlerde uygulanan gelenekleri incelenmektedir. Tezde Ağrı’da yapılan düğün törenlerinin hangi amaçla ve hangi ritüellere göre yapıldığını, zaman ve mekân bağlamında nasıl değiştiğini açıklanmıştır. Ağrı’da gerçekleşen bu törenler, bireysel veya ailelerin eylemleri sonucunda gerçekleşmektedir. Araştırmanın yapılırken yörede yapılan düğünlerin geçmişten günümüze kadar geçen bu zaman diliminde nasıl değiştiğini, düğünlerde uygulanan geleneklerin ve bu törenlerde belirli ritüellerin geçmişte olduğu gibi günümüzde de yansıtılıp yansıtılmadığı incelenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, evlenme çağına gelmiş bir bireyin davranışları ile düğün yapmış bir bireyin sosyal yaşamındaki değişimleri ve toplum tarafından görülen değişimleri incelenmektedir. Bilhassa bireyin bu çerçevede kendini tanımlaması ve konumlandırma yollarıyla kendini topluma kabul ettirmesindeki değişim analiz edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte yörede evlenmeyen bir birey ile evlenen bir bireyin toplumdaki konumu araştırılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucu yörede evlenen bir bireyin hem kendi ailesi hem de toplum tarafından itibar kazandığı gözlemlenmiştir. “Ağrı'da Düğün Gelenekleri" adlı bu çalışmada Ağrı’da yaşatılan ve değişikliğe uğrayan özellikleriyle düğün gelenekleri incelenmektedir. Kaynak kişi ve eserlerden hareketle araştırılan düğün geleneklerinin günümüzde uygulanıp uygulanmadığı hakkında araştırma yapılmıştır. Düğün âdetlerinin, genel hatları ile günümüzde çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı değişiklik gösterse de yine de yörede uygulandığı görülmektedir. Bilhassa para yönü ağır basan ve aşırı masrafı gerektiren motiflerin günümüzde de terkedildiği bazen de sürdürüldüğünü gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca yörede yaşayan insanların, birçok yörede olduğu gibi düğün geleneklerine çok büyük önem verdiklerini ve bu geleneklerin geçmişten günümüze kadar devam ettiği görülmektedir. Bu çalışma, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde Ağrı’nın coğrafi yapısı, Ağrı'nın tarihî ve kültürü ile ilgili bilgi verilmektedir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde; düğünlerin kavramsal çerçevesi, Ağrı’da evliliğin önemi ve tanımı, Ağrı’da evliliğe uygun olan kız ve erkeklerin özellikleri, Ağrı’da evlilik çağı ile evlilik çeşitleri yer almaktadır. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise Ağrı’da düğün öncesi, düğün sırası ve düğün sonrası olmak üzere kendi içerisinde üç ana başlıkta incelenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın yapılmasıyla, Ağrı’da yapılan folklor çalışmalarını zenginleştirmeye ve teşvik etmeye çalışılacağı düşüncesi yatmaktadır. Yapılan bu araştırmalar sonucunda yöredeki bireylerin evlenmeleri ve düğün yapmaları toplum tarafından desteklenmektedir. Ayrıca yıllar boyunca bu törenlerden önce, törenler yapılırken ve de törenlerden sonra topluma ait çeşitli adetlerin yer aldığı görülmüştür. Bilhassa bu törenlerle beraber insanlar arasındaki sosyal ve ticari ilişkilerin ilerlediği de açık bir şekilde çalışmada anlatılmıştır.

ABSTRACT Weddings are the ceremonies where the experience of marriage and family formation in the daily lives of people living in Ağrı is most evident. In this study, the social origins of the wedding ceremonies in Ağrı and the changes in the rituals associated with these ceremonies are analyzed and the traditions applied in these ceremonies are examined. In the thesis, it has been explained for what purpose and according to which rituals the wedding ceremonies held in Ağrı have changed, and how they have changed in the context of time and space. These ceremonies in Ağrı take place as a result of the actions of individuals or families. While conducting the research, it is examined how the weddings held in the region have changed in this time period from the past to the present, whether the traditions applied in weddings and certain rituals in these ceremonies are reflected today as they were in the past. In this study, the behavior of an individual who has reached the age of marriage and the changes in the social life of an individual who has had a wedding and the changes seen by the society are examined. In particular, the change in the individual's self-definition and positioning in this framework has been analyzed. In addition, the position of an individual who marries an unmarried individual in the region in the society has been investigated. As a result of the researches, it has been observed that an individual who gets married in the region gains reputation both by his own family and by the society. In this study called "Wedding Traditions in Ağrı", wedding traditions with their changed features are examined. Based on the source people and works, a research has been made about whether the wedding traditions are applied today. However, it is seen that it is practiced in the region. It has been observed that the motifs, which are especially money-heavy and require excessive expenses, are also abandoned today and sometimes continued. It is also seen that the people living in the region attach great importance to wedding traditions, as in many regions, and these traditions have continued from the past to the present day. This study consists of three parts. In the first part of the study, information about the geographical structure of Ağrı, the history and culture of Ağrı is given. In the second part of the study; The conceptual framework of weddings, the importance and definition of marriage in Ağrı, the characteristics of girls and boys suitable for marriage in Ağrı, marriage age and types of marriage in Ağrı are included. In the third part of the study, it is examined under three main headings, namely before the wedding, during the wedding and after the wedding in Ağrı. With this study, there is the idea that it will be tried to enrich and encourage the folklore studies in Ağrı. As a result of these researches, the marriage and wedding of individuals in the region are supported by the society. In addition, over the years, it has been seen that various customs belonging to the society take place before these ceremonies, during the ceremonies and after the ceremonies. In particular, the progress of social and commercial relations between people with these ceremonies is clearly explained in the study.
