Güncel Sanat İçinde Kullanılan Korkutmak Kavramına Bir Bakış: Bostan Korkuluğu

Abstract

ÖZ Korku kavramı, her canlıda mevcut olan bir duygu durumudur. Genel olarak korkular, canlıyı tehdit ettiği için ortaya çıkar. Bu tehdit unsuru, bir durum ya da şahıs olabilir. Korkunun boyutları ve şiddeti bu noktada ilk dikkat edilmesi gereken husus olabilir. Psikolojik açıdan, insanlık tarihindeki en ilkel duygudur. Belki de hissettiğimiz duygular içindeki en güçlüsü ve bizi en kıskıvrak yakalayacak olanıdır denilebilir. İnsanı diğer canlılardan ayıran akıl yürütme becerisi bu noktada duygularını da gözden geçirmesi açısından etkin olabilir. İnsanın korktuğu figür ya da olay karşısında aklını kullanabiliyor olması korkuyu duygularında nereye koyacağına dairdir. Diğer bir davranış ile de birey, aklını kullanarak korkudan uzaklaşma başa çıkma gibi yollara başvurabilme seçeneğine de sahiptir. Korku kavramı sembolik hale geldikçe, yarına bilgi birikimi olarak taşınır. Bilgi birikimi sağlandıkça da korkunun üstesinden gelebilme ya da gelmeye çalışma öğrenilir. Toplumları ürküten yırtıcı hayvanlar, doğa olayları ve korkuya ait birçok faktör, toplumun üyelerinin aynı duyguda buluşmalarına neden olmuştur. Bununla birlikte tabiatın hükmüne duyulan biçare ve irkilme hissi de toplumsal birliğin sürekliliğini getirmiştir. Korkuyu kovmaya çalışmak toplumların yaratıcılık seviyesini de geliştirmiştir. Ritüeller, muskalar, masklar ve resim sanatına katkı sağlayan eserler bunlardan bazılarıdır. Yalnızca korku diyerek geçtiğimiz bu kavramın gücü çalışmam üzerinde yoğunlaştığımda nasıl da kapsamlı olduğunu bir kez daha ortaya koymama yardımcı olmuştur. Özellikle korku/ korkutma kavram ve eylemleri üzerinden ulaşmak istenen bostan korkuluğu imgesi, birçok dijital ve cam altı teknikleriyle ortaya konulan çalışmamı da destekleyici nitelikte olmuştur. Bostan korkuluğunun güncel sanat içinde kullanımı çalışmamın ana hedefi olup, tarihi süreçte nasıl evirildiği ve canlıları etkilediği üzerinde sanat eserleri aracılığıyla durulmuştur.

ABSTRACT The concept of fear is an emotional state that is present in every living thing. Generally, fears arise because they threaten the living thing. This threat can be a situation or a person. The dimensions and severity of fear may be the first point to be noted at this point. Psychologically, it is the most primitive emotion in human history. Perhaps it can be said that it is the strongest of the emotions we feel and the one that will catch us the most. The reasoning skill that distinguishes humans from other creatures can be effective at this point in terms of reviewing their emotions. The fact that a person can use his mind in the face of the feared figure or event is about where to put the fear in his emotions. With another behavior, the individual has the option to resort to ways such as getting away from fear by using his mind. As the concept of fear becomes symbolic, it is carried into tomorrow as knowledge. As knowledge accumulates, it is learned to overcome or try to overcome fear. Predators, natural events and many factors of fear that frighten societies have caused the members of the society to meet in the same feeling. Along with this, the feeling of helplessness and startle felt at the domination of nature also brought the continuity of social unity. Trying to drive away fear has also improved the creativity level of societies. Rituals, amulets, masks and works that contribute to the art of painting are some of them. The power of this concept, which we refer to simply as fear, has helped me to demonstrate once again how comprehensive it is when I concentrate on my work. Especially the scarecrow image, which is intended to be achieved through the concepts and actions of fear / intimidation, has also supported my work, which has been put forward with many digital and under glass techniques. The use of scarecrow in contemporary art is the main goal of my work, and how it evolved in the historical process and how it affects living things is emphasized through works of art.
