ÖZET
Fosil yakıtların zamanla tükenmesi ve çevreye vermiş olduğu zararlar sebebiyle enerji ihtiyacımızı karşılamak adına kullandığımız fotovoltaik enerji sistemleri gün geçtikçe önem kazanmaktadır. Yenilenebilir enerji sınıfında yer alan fotovoltaik sistemlerin en önemli dezavantajları yüksek sistemmaliyet ve düşük enerji dönüşüm performanslarıdır. PV sistemlerinin verimlerinin artırılmasına yönelik çalışmalar her geçen gün artarak devam etmektedir.
ABSTRACT
Photovoltaic energy systems that we use to meet our energy needs are gaining importance day by day due to the depletion of fossil fuels over time and the damage they cause to the environment. The most important disadvantages of photovoltaic systems in the renewable energy class are high system costs and low energy conversion performances. Studies to increase the efficiency of PV systems continue to increase day by day. In this experimental study, an effort was made to minimize the efficiency decrease of PV panels due to heat and to maximize the amount of solar radiation falling on the PV module. Our experimental study was conducted with identical solar panels on the same day, at the same time, in Karabük, Turkey, in July 2023. Three identical PV modules are designed, one of which is fixed (PV1), the second with a solar tracking system (PV2) and the third with air cooling with aluminum fins in addition to the solar tracking system (PVT). According to the experimental results, it was observed that the module temperature difference between PV1 and PV2 was 3.18%, the temperature
difference between PV1 and PVT was 13.72%, and the temperature difference between PV2 and PVT was 16.47%. In electrical power outputs, there was an increase of 24.57% between PV1 module and PV2 module, 31.63% between PV1 module and PVT collector, and 9.36% between PV2 module and PVT collector. The first and second law efficiencies of PV1, PV2 modules and PVT collector are 6.32%, 7.61%, 35.85% and 4.09%, 5.26% and 9.07%, respectively.
