Osmanlı Döneminde Bağdat'ta Yapılan ve Tamir Edilen Mimari Anıtların Bugünkü Durumları

ÖZ

Osmanlı dönemi, tarihimizde önemli bir yere sahiptir ve bu dönemde yapılan mimari eserler de bu önemi yansıtmaktadır. Bağdat, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun önemli şehirlerinden biri olup, bu şehirde yapılan ve tamir edilen mimari anıtlar da Osmanlı mimarisinin zenginliğini yansıtmaktadır. Bu tez, Osmanlı döneminde Badat’ta yapılan ve tamir edilen mimari anıtların bugünkü durumları. Osmanlı mimarisinin özellikleri ve Bağdat'taki mimari eserlerin bu özelliklerle nasıl birleştirildiği de ele alınacaktır. Ayrıca, bu anıtların günümüze kadar gelebilmesi için yapılan çalışmalar ve bugünkü durumları hakkında da bilgi verilecektir. Osmanlı dönemi Bağdat'ında yapılan ve tamir edilen mimari anıtlar, Osmanlı mimarisinin zenginliğini ve estetiğini yansıtmaktadır. Bağdat'taki Osmanlı mimari eserleri, genellikle Selçuklu ve Abbasi mimari tarzlarından etkilenmiştir. Bu yapılar, kubbelerle örtülü büyük salonları, geometrik desenlerle süslenen çinileri ve işlemeli ahşap kapılarıyla dikkat çekmektedir. Osmanlı döneminde Bağdat'ta yapılan en önemli mimari anıtlardan biri, 17. yüzyılda inşa edilen Şeyh Ömer Camii'dir. Bu cami, Abbasiler dönemine ait kalıntılar üzerine inşa edilmiştir. Cami, 19. yüzyılda yapılan bir tamiratla günümüzdeki halini almıştır. Bu yapılar, Osmanlı dönemi mimarisinin zenginliğini ve estetiğini yansıtmaktadır. Bugün, Bağdat'taki Osmanlı mimari eserleri genellikle restore edilmekte ve korunmaya çalışılmaktadır. Ancak, bazı eserlerin yıkılması veya yıkılmaya yakın durumda olması gibi sorunlar da bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu anıtların korunması ve gelecek nesillere aktarılması için çeşitli çalışmalar ve projeler yürütülmektedir. Bu tez, Osmanlı dönemi mimarisi ve Bağdat'ın tarihi hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak isteyenler için bu eserlerin özellikleri ve bazılarının bugünkü durumları hakkında bilgi edinme imkânı sağlayacaktır.

ABSTRACT The Ottoman period holds a significant place in our history, and the architectural works from this era reflect this importance. Baghdad was one of the important cities of the Ottoman Empire, and the architectural monuments constructed and repaired in this city also reflect the richness of Ottoman architecture. This thesis will address the current conditions of the architectural monuments constructed and repaired in Baghdad during the Ottoman period. It will also discuss the characteristics of Ottoman architecture and how these features were integrated with the architectural works in Baghdad. Additionally, information will be provided about the efforts made to preserve these monuments to the present day and their current conditions. The architectural monuments constructed and repaired in Baghdad during the Ottoman period reflect the richness and aesthetic of Ottoman architecture. The Ottoman architectural works in Baghdad were generally influenced by Seljuk and Abbasid architectural styles. These structures are notable for their large halls covered with domes, tiles decorated with geometric patterns, and carved wooden doors. One of the most important architectural monuments built in Baghdad during the Ottoman period is the Sheikh Ömer Mosque, constructed in the 17th century. This mosque was built on the remains of the Abbasid era. The mosque received repairs in the 19th century, which gave it its present form. These structures reflect the richness and aesthetic of Ottoman period architecture. Today, the Ottoman architectural works in Baghdad are generally being restored and preserved. However, there are also issues such as some works being demolished or in a near-demolished state. Therefore, various projects and efforts are being conducted to preserve these monuments and pass them on to future generations. This thesis will be an important resource for those who wish to learn about the architecture of the Ottoman period and the history of Baghdad. It will also provide an opportunity for those interested in Ottoman architecture to gain information about the characteristics of these works and their current conditions.
