Öğretmenlerin Maruz Kaldıkları Mobbing Eylemlerine Yönelik Nitel Bir Araştırma

Abstract

ÖZ Bu tez çalışmasında, iş yaşamındaki sorunlar ele alınmakla birlikte mobbing özelinde, iş yaşamının karşılaştığı çeşitli zorluk ve tehditler ele alınacaktır. Konunun pratikteki yansımalarının incelenmesi adına eğitim sektöründe, öğretmenler ile bir mülakat gerçekleştirilerek konunun boyutları incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, iş yaşamındaki sorunlar genel hatlarıyla ele alınmakta ve literatürde olduğu kadar pratikte de çalışanlar ve örgütler açısından ciddi ölçekli sorunlar yaratan konu başlıklarına değinilmektedir. İkinci bölümde, mobbing kavramı, tüm hatları ile ele alınmaktadır. Kavramın oluşumu ile birlikte nedenleri ve etkileri, çalışmanın bu bölümünde irdelenmektedir. Çalışmanın son bölümünde, mülakat odaklı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, eğitim sektöründe, lise ve dengi okullarda görev alan, çeşitli branşlardan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Fakat bu araştırmada, tamamı Karabük’te bulunan ve farklı, lise ve dengi eğitim kurumlarında görevli olan 27 öğretmene yer verilmiştir ve katılımcılara, karşılaştıkları muhtemel mobbing tehditleri ile ilgili sorular sorulmuştur. Katılımcılar, tesadüfi örneklem ile mülakat gerçekleştirmek adına seçilmiştir. Önceden belirlenmiş olarak lise ve dengi okullarda görev alan, çeşitli branşlardan öğretmenlere 10 soru yöneltilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda iki önemli nokta dikkati çekmektedir. Öğretmenler, kendi aralarında ve okul içerisindeki yöneticileri ile çeşitli şekillerde mobbing tehditleri ile karşılaşmalarına rağmen öğrencilerin mobbing konusunda önemli bir etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Öte yandan öğretmenler, yaşadıkları mobbing etkisi ile mesleklerini sürdürmeyi bırakmak istememektedirler. Aksine, onlar, iş arkadaşlarının ve okul yöneticilerinin değişmesini ya da kurumlarının değişmesini istemektedirler. ABSTRACT In this thesis, although the problems in the business life are discussed, various difficulties and threats faced by the business life will be discussed. In order to examine the reflections of the subject in practice, an in-depth interview will be conducted with the teachers in the education sector to examine the dimensions of the subject. In the first part of the study, the problems in business life are discussed in general terms and the topics that create serious problems for employees and organizations are mentioned in the literature as well as in practice. In the second part, the concept of mobbing is discussed with all its lines. The formation of the concept as well as its causes and effects are discussed in this section of the study. In the last part of the study, an in-depth interview focused research was conducted. The universe of the research consists of teachers from various branches who work in education sector, high school and equivalent schools. However, this study included 27 teachers, all of whom were employed in different high schools and equivalent educational institutions in Karabük. And the participants were asked questions about possible mobbing threats. Participants were selected to conduct an in-depth interview with a random sample. 10 questions were posed to teachers from various branches who were assigned in high schools and equivalent schools. As a result of the research, two important points are noteworthy. Although teachers faced various kinds of mobbing threats among themselves and their school administrators, it was observed that students had a significant impact on mobbing. On the other hand, teachers do not want to stop continuing their profession with the effect of mobbing. Rather, they want their colleagues and school administrators to change or change their institutions.
