Uluslararası Finans Merkezleri Ve İstanbul’un Finans Merkezi Olma Potansiyelinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZ Kurulması planlanan İstanbul Uluslararası Finans Merkezi’ne dair ülkemizin ve İstanbul’un durumunun ne olduğunun görülmesinin amaçlandığı bu çalışmada; başta dünya tarafından otorite kabul edilen Küresel Finans Merkezleri İndeksi ve finans merkezlerinin sıralandığı diğer önemli indekslerin kriterleri bağlamında İstanbul’un avantaj ve dezavantajları incelenmiştir. Finans Merkezi olabilme noktasında İstanbul’un güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ile olası fırsat ve tehditleri incelenerek, projenin geliştirilmesi adına atılması gereken adımların ne olduğu göz önüne serilmesi amaçlanmıştır. İstanbul’un sürdürülebilir bir finans merkezi kimliği kazanmasıyla beraber projenin istihdam ve büyüme üzerinde pozitif katkılar sunacağı, finansal piyasaların gelişmesine ve derinleşmesine imkân tanıyacağı soncuna varılmıştır. ABSTRACT In this study, the advantages and disadvantages of Istanbul were examined in the context of the criteria of the global financial centers Index and other important indexes in which the financial centers are listed, which are considered as authority by the world. It is aimed to examine the strengths and weaknesses of Istanbul as well as possible opportunities and threats in order to become a financial center and to consider the steps to be taken in order to develop the project. The project will provide positive contributions to employment and growth and enable the development and deepening of financial markets as Istanbul becomes a sustainable financial center.
