Yerel Halkın Termal Turizme Yönelik Görüşleri: Haymana İlçesi Örneği

Abstract

ÖZ Bu araştırmanın amacı Haymana ilçesinin termal turizm potansiyelini ve yerel halkın termal turizm konusundaki tutumlarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Çalışmada karma araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Karma araştırma modelinin kullanıldığı bu araştırmaya Haymana ilçe 250 kişi katılmıştır. Veri toplamak amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Termal Turizm Ölçeği” yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS 23.00 paket programı kullanılırken nitel verilerin analizinde içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğu; termal turizm faaliyetlerinin Haymana’ya ekonomik anlamda refah getirdiğini, yeni iş alanları sağladığını ve yatırımları arttırdığını belirtmişlerdir. Yerel halkın Haymana’da termal turizmin sorunlarına ilişkin görüşlerinde tanıtımın ve ilçedeki termal tesislerin yetersizliği, halkın turizm konusunda bilinçsizliği ve ilçede sosyal yaşam merkezlerinin yetersizliği ön plana çıkmıştır. Katılımcılar Haymana’da termal turizmin geliştirilmesi için yatırımların arttırılmasını, tanıtım ve reklam faaliyetlerine daha fazla önem verilmesini, termal tesislerin hem nicelik hem de niteliksel anlamda iyileştirilmesini, ilçede sosyal alanlarının sayısının arttırılmasını ve halkın termal turizm konusunda bilinçlendirilmesini ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcılar termal turizmin ilçede nüfusu arttıracağı ve göçü önleyeceğini, ekonomik olarak daha hareketli bir ortamın oluşacağını ve bu durumun esnafa katkı sağlayacağını, işsizliğin nispeten azalacağını, alternatif bir turizm merkezi olacağını ve halkın kültürel anlamda gelişeceğini düşünmektedirler. Bu bağlamda termal turizmin geliştirilmesi için Haymana İlçesi’nin çevre yerleşim alanları ile ulaşım imkanlarının arttırılması, mevcut tesislerde çalışanların yabancı dil düzeyinin arttırılması, mevcut tesislerin restore edilip daha modern bir görünüm kazanması ve tesislerde termal turizm konusunda eğitim görmüş ve alanında uzman bireylerin çalıştırılması gerektiği düşünülmektedir. The aim of this study is to examine the thermal tourism potential of Haymana district and the attitudes of local people about thermal tourism in terms of various variables. The mixed research model was used in the study. 250 people participated in this study, which is a mixed research model. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher for the purpose of collecting data was applied. While SPSS 23.00 package program was used in the analysis of quantitative data, content analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the study, the vast majority of the participants; They stated that thermal tourism activities brought prosperity to Haymana economically, provided new business areas and increased investments. In the views of the local people about the problems of thermal tourism in Haymana, the insufficiency of publicity and thermal facilities in the district, the unconsciousness of the people about tourism and the insufficiency of social life centers in the district came to the fore. Participants stated that in Haymana, increasing the investments for thermal tourism, attaching more importance to promotion and advertising activities, improving thermal facilities both quantitatively and qualitatively, increasing the number of social areas in the district and raising awareness of the public about thermal tourism. The participants think that thermal tourism will increase the population in the district and prevent migration, an economically more active environment will occur and this will contribute to trades, unemployment will decrease relatively, it will be an alternative tourism center and the people will develop culturally. In this context, it is thought that in order to improve thermal tourism, it is necessary to increase the transportation opportunities with the surrounding settlements of Haymana District, to increase the foreign language level of the employees in the existing facilities, to restore the existing facilities and gain a more modern appearance, and to employ individuals who have been trained in thermal tourism in the facilities and employed.
