ÖZET
Bu çalışmanın amacı zeminlerin maruz kaldığı gerilme ve ıslanma koşullarının zemin mühendislik özelliklerine etkisinin araştırılarak bu özelliklerin zemin hafızasına etkisini irdelemektir. Bu kapsamda laboratuvarda zeminlerin tüm özelliklerinin aynı koşullarda olmasını sağlamak amacıyla numuneler hazırlanmıştır. Deneylerde kullanılan zemin numuneleri kil ve kum zeminlerin etkilerinin de kıyaslaması amacıyla %70 kil-%30 kum ve %70 kum-%30 kil oranlarında olacak şekilde hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmaya başlamadan önce deneye tabi tutulacak zeminlerin optimum su içeriği belirlenmiş ve deneylerde kullanılacak numuneler optimum su içeriği baz alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda %70 kil-%30 kum içeriğindeki zeminler %18, %28 ve %38 su içeriğinde, %70 kum-%30 kil içeriğindeki zeminler ise %10, %20 ve %30 su içeğinde hazırlanmıştır. Gerilme koşullarının etkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla belirtilen numuneler 8, 16 ve 24 kg yükler ile 15, 25 ve 35 gün süreyle bekletilmiştir. Belirlenen deney programları dahilinde toplamda oluşturulan 54 numuneye kesme kutusu ve serbest basınç deneyi yapılarak gerilme ve ıslanma koşullarının yükleme süresiyle birlikte zemin hafızasında saklanabilirliği araştırılmıştır.
ABSTRACT
In the scope of this thesis, the effects of the strain and wetting conditions exposed to the strength and the effects of these factors were discussed to the soil memory. For this purpose, samples were prepared in the laboratory to ensure that all the properties of the soils are in the same conditions. The soils samples used in the experiments were prepared to be 70% clay-30% sand and 70% sand-30% clay in order to compare the amount of clay and sand soils. Before starting the study, the optimum water content of the soils to be tested was determined and the samples to be used in the experiments were prepared based on the optimum water content. Accordingly, soils with 70% clay-30% sand content were prepared in 18%, 28% and 38% water content and soils with 70% sand-30% clay content were prepared in 10%, 20% and 30% water content. The specified samples were kept for 15, 25 and 35 days with 8, 16 and 24 kg in order to determine the effect of the strain conditions. Within the determined experimental programs, a total of 54 samples formed in the direct shear test and unconfined compressive test were carried out and the strain and wetting conditions were stored in the soil memory together with the loading time.
