Ergenlerde Siber Mağduriyet ve Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Becerilerinin Duygusal Zekâ ile İlişkisinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZET

Bu araştırma ergenlerde siber mağduriyet ve siber zorbalıkla başa çıkma becerilerinin duygusal zekâ ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modeli ile yapılan bu çalışmanın evrenini Muş ili merkez ilçesindeki lise 9, 10, ve 11. sınıf öğrencileri, çalışma grubunu ise Anadolu Lisesi, Meslek Lisesi, Fen Lisesi, Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi, İmam Hatip Lisesi’ne devam eden sosyal medya kullanıcısı 348 ergen (174 kız, 174 erkek) oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak Siber Mağduriyet Ölçeği, Siber Zorbalık Ölçeği ve Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği–Adölesan Kısa Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde normallik dağılımı dikkate alınarak değişkenlere göre normal dağılım gösteren ölçek puanlarının analizinde t Testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), normal dağılım göstermeyen ölçek puanlarının analizinde Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis H testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ergenlerin genel olarak Siber Mağduriyet Ölçeği puanları düşük düzeyde, Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Ölçeği ve Duygusal Zekâ Özelliği Ölçeği puanları orta düzeyde bulunmuştur. Kızların erkek ergenlere göre Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Ölçeği Sosyal Destek Arama Yardım Arama, Mücadele Etme ve Çevrimiçi Güvenlik alt boyut puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Anadolu Lisesi’ne devam edenlerin Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Ölçeği Yardım Arama ve Çevrimiçi Güvenlik alt boyut puanlarının Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi’ne devam edenlerin puanından anlamlı düzeyde daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ergenlerin günlük sosyal medya hesabını kontrol etme süresi arttıkça Siber Mağduriyet Ölçeği puanının arttığı, Siber Mağduriyet Ölçeği puanları arttıkça Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Ölçeği puanlarının azaldığı ve Duygusal Zekâ Özelliği Ölçeği puanları arttıkça Siber Zorbalıkla Başa Çıkma Ölçeği puanlarının arttığı belirlenmiştir.

ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and cyber victimization and coping skills in adolescents. The universe of this study, which was carried out with the relational scanning model, consists of 9th, 10th and 11th grade high school students in the central district of Muş, the sample is from Anatolian High School, Vocational High School, Science High School, Fine Arts High School, Imam Hatip High School students, 174 girls and 174 boys created a total of 348. Cyber Victim Scale, Cyber Bullying Scale and Emotional Intelligence Scale– Adolescent Short Form were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, taking into account the distribution of normality, the t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the analysis of the scale scores showing normal distribution according to the variables, and the Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests were used in the analysis of the scale scores that did not show normal distribution. As a result of the research, in general, Cyber Victim Scale scores of adolescents were found to be low, while the scores of the Coping with Cyber Bullying Scale and the Emotional Intelligence Scale were moderate. It was determined that girls' scores of the Coping With Cyber Bullying Scale, Seeking Help, Struggle and Online Safety sub-dimensions were higher than male adolescents. Coping with Cyber Bullying Scale Help Seeking and Online Safety sub-dimension scores of those who attended Anatolian High School were found to be significantly lower than the scores of those who attended Fine Arts High School. It was determined that as adolescents' time to check their daily social media accounts increased, the score of the Cyber Victim Scale increased, as the scores of the Cyber Victimization Scale increased, the scores of the Cyber Bullying Scale decreased, and as the scores of the Emotional Intelligence Scale increased, the scores of the Cyber Bullying Scale increased.
