In this age we live in, it is obvious that technology is developing very quickly. Humanity that is aiming to make maximum use of the innovations brought by this age, generally prefer to carry out the development of industrialization by mechanization rather than by manpower. Transport event is a term often used in industrialization today. Here, conveyor belt systems are widely used in transport jobs where manpower is replaced by machinery, especially in the industrial sector. Belt selection is made according to the material and quantity to be transported in conveyor belt systems. When selecting conveyor belt, a safety coefficient value must be considered in order for the conveyor belt to work safely. In industry, conveyor belts are produced in certain standard widths and lengths and wrapped on drums. The bands that are cut to the desired sizes according to the place where it will be used, are joined at the ends in order to be made without end. It is expected that the conveyor belt joint will be at least as durable as the conveyor belt itself, so that the conveyor belt does not break during operation and the transfer process is not interrupted. While it is aimed for the bands to run smoothly for a long time after joining, long stops are usually forced to be given in working facilities resulting in production losses as a result of breaks from the joints. The aim of this study is to compare vulcanized (hot) and mechanical (fastening) joining methods made by belt maintenance personnel in the facility with each other and to determine the most appropriate belt joining method for the facility and to make it an important resource for related employees to apply to. In this study, the general lines of belt conveyors, advantages, disadvantages, belt joining methods, usage areas of belt conveyors, belt conveyors elements and belt types and structure were mentioned. In addition, by carrying out a detailed examination of the conveyor belt joining procedures, the evaluation of the appropriate method was carried out experimentally. According to research and experiments have been done, it was seen that vulcanized hot joining method is stronger than mechanical joining method. It is emphasized that the appropriate method will save time, Labor and cost by making it in the facility."
