Öğretmenlerin kültürel miras farkındalıkları ve deneyimleri üzerine bir araştırma: Karabük ili örneği

Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Karabük'te görev yapan öğretmenlerin, Karabük'te bulunan kültürel miras unsurlarına ilişkin farkındalık ve deneyim düzeylerinin tespit edilmesidir. Çalışma kapsamında öğretmenlerin cinsiyetine, medeni durumlarına, yaşlarına, memleketine, branşlarına, Karabük'te ikamet sürelerine ve görev yaptıkları okul durumlarına göre (İlkokul –Ortaokul – Lise) aralarında anlamlı farklılık olup olmadığı da incelenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda kolayda örnekleme tekniği ile, 2021 / 2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Karabük'te görev yapan 416 öğretmene ulaşılmış ancak tam ve geçerli 390 anket değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğretmenlerin, Karabük'teki önemli yapılar, el sanatları, mutfak kültürü, etkinlikler ve doğal varlıklara ilişkin farkındalık ve deneyim düzeyleri, demografik özellikleri açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada öğretmenlerin kültürel mirasa ilişkin farkındalık düzeyleri belirlenmiş ve söz konusu düzeyin demografik özellikleri açısından dağılımına bakılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda öğretmenlerin kültürel miras farkındalık düzeyi kabul edilir düzeyde çıkmıştır. Boyutsal açıdan bakıldığında; öğretmenlerin kültürel mirasın korunması gerektiği konusunda olumlu tutuma sahip oldukları, kendilerinden kültürel mirası korumaları beklendiği, kültürel mirası koruma konusunda kendilerine olan inanç ve güvenlerinin tam olduğu ve gelecekte de kültürel mirası daha fazla korumayı düşündükleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca Karabük'te yaşamaktan da memnun oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın, Karabük ilindeki kültürel miras değerlerimiz konusunda öğretmenlerin farkındalıklarını ve deneyimlerini ortaya koyması, bu konudaki hassasiyetinin artırılması ve Karabük ilindeki kültürel değerlerin daha çok tanınması noktasında sonraki çalışmalara rehberlik edeceği düşünülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to determine the level of awareness and experience of teachers working in Karabuk regarding natural and cultural heritage. Within the scope of the study, it has also been examined whether there is a significant difference between the teachers according to their gender, marital status, age, hometown, branch, length of residence in Karabuk and the school status (Primary School - Secondary School - High School). For this purpose, with the convenience sampling technique, 416 teachers working in Karabuk in the 2021 / 2022 academic year were reached, but 390 complete and valid questionnaires were evaluated. The sampling tables suggested by Sekaran (2003: 294) were used to determine how much the sampling volume should be. As a result of the analyses, the knowledge and experience levels of the teachers about the important buildings in Karabuk have been found to be close to each other in terms of teachers' demographic characteristics. In the study, the awareness levels of teachers about cultural heritage were determined and the distribution of this level was examined in terms of demographic characteristics. As a result of the analyses, the cultural heritage awareness level of the teachers was found to be at an acceptable level. From a dimensional point of view; It has been determined that teachers have a positive attitude about the need to protect cultural heritage, they are expected to protect cultural heritage, they have full faith and confidence in protecting cultural heritage, and they think to protect cultural heritage more in the future. It has also been determined that they are satisfied with living in Karabuk. It is thought that this study will guide the next studies in terms of revealing the awareness and experience of teachers about our cultural heritage values in Karabuk, increasing their sensitivity on this issue and recognizing the cultural values in Karabuk.
