In This study it was aimed to determine the effect of the optional random exercise method in teaching some floor movements in artistic gymnastics. The researcher assumes that there are statistically significant differences between the pre and post test of the experimental and control groups in the effect of the optional random exercise method in teaching some ground movements in artistic gymnastics. The experimental method was used in the research. The research was conducted on a group of 20 students, 10 in the experimental group, and 10 were in the control group of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, first stage, University of Kirkuk. As a result of the research, the optional random exercise method used in teaching motor skills in standing on the hands, Arab jump movements and the human wheel was determined within the scope of the research, in the training program in which the random exercise method is chosen. Used, provides more effective skill development compared to lessons taught with a teacher's plan. It was concluded that the use of this method of exercise, in which different types of skills are practiced randomly and sequentially, will be effective in training artistic gymnastics."
