Experimental outputs indicate that the heat pump system shows the highest exergy efficiency at 0.040 kg s-1 of water mass flow rate and 0.1 kg s-1 of air mass flow rate running with both R134a and HC mixture. Even though proposed HC mixture has lower COP and rational efficiencies, cooling exergy efficiency of HC mixture is 2-3% better than that of R134a. Higher energy consumption and lower rational efficiencies can be resolved by a hermetic compressor with higher sweep volume which is compatible with pure and mixture hydrocarbons.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessR134aHydrocarbon MixtureHeat PumpGlobal warmingSecond law analysisSECOND LAW ANALYSIS OF AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY R290/R600/R600a MIXTURE IN A WATER-COOLED HEAT PUMP UNITArticle2821934WOS:000343190700003Q4
