It was participated by 18 males and 10 females (N = 28). The average age, height and body weight were 17.88 +/- 3.079 years, 177.77 +/- 7.13 cm and 70.22 +/- 7.28 kg, respectively for males and 17.00 +/- 2.35 years, 168.60 +/- 5.29 cm and 60.60 +/- 5.35 kg, respectively for female players. The resting pulse beat, flexibility, vertical jump, 30-m sprint test, aerobic capacity (VO2max), power (hand grip. back and leg), audio-visual reaction times and body fat contents of participants were also measured. The data obtained were analyzed by the descriptive statistics (mean values, standard deviations, minimum and maximum values) using SPPS statistical software. The mean flexibility values of male and female players were 38.5 and 40.2 cm, respectivelywhile the corresponding values for 30-m sprint test were 4.26 and 4.93 s, respectively. VO2max values for male and female players were 54.95 and 45.47 ml/kg/min, respectively. Right-/left-hand grip, leg and back strengths were 46.20, 41.06, 133.66 and 112.57 kg for males and 32.37, 28.75, 88.55 and 76.50 kg for females. The visual-right, visual-left, audial-right and audial-left-reaction times were 216.22, 200.38, 176.22 and 175.66 ms, respectively for males. On the other hand, the values for females were 205.30, 210.8, 171.50 and 184.40 ms, respectively. Finally, the body fat percentages were 10.6% for males and 19.6% for females. In conclusion, it was found that the physical parameters of the badminton players in the Turkish National Team were similar compared to the players from different countries.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessbadmintonbadminton player profileTurkish National Badminton TeamPhysical profiles of Turkish elite badminton playersArticle342133524WOS:000361410100024N/A
