In Türkiye, the discipline of management and organization where all stakeholders evaluate problems, make common and applicable decisions, and implement them is insufficient. This study first addressed the current situation regarding forest fire problems in our country. Subsequently, a SWOT analysis of the General Directorate of Forestry’s efforts to combat forest fires was conducted using secondary data sources. From this point, institutional duties, organizational and coordination principles for governance issues before, during, and after the fire were determined. Additionally, solution proposals including inter-institutional integrated, common language legal regulations and action plans, as well as personnel-equipment, technical and administrative practices were developed.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessForest FireGeneral Directorate of ForestryGovernanceStrategySWOT AnalysisForest fire management in Türki̇ye: problems and solution suggestionsTürki̇ye’de orman yangın yöneti̇mi̇: sorunlar ve çözüm öneri̇leri̇Article10.56524/msydergi.15659812-s2.0-8521538196057043Q451719
