Öğe A New Correlation Manipulation Circuit for Stochastic Computing(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2022) Abdellatef, H.; Abdellatif, A.; Ramaha, N.Stochastic Computing (SC) is an alternative computing technique that offers low-area and error-tolerant im-plementations of complex functions. However, in multilevel SC circuits or systems correlation levels between stochastic bit-streams are changing, hence, creating severe correlation-induced errors that degrade the SC system's overall accuracy. In many scenarios, the input bitstreams should be correlated for SC arithmetic to obtain accurate results. This work proposes a new correlation manipulation circuit that increases the correlation between two stochastic numbers. Experimental results show that our correlator outperforms other works in correlating the bit-streams with negligible effect on the encoded probabilities. © 2022 IEEE.
