Öğe Experimental investigation of dry environment abrasive wear behavior of a plain bearing material(2022) Demirsöz, RecepIn this study, using variables such as load and sliding speed, which are effective parameters on abrasive wear, the amount of wear on the bearing material, friction coefficients, and trace depth values according to the experimental conditions were determined. According to the results of the analysis of variance performed as a result of the experiments carried out in the ball-on-flat experimental setup, the most effective parameter for all outputs was the load value, and the effect ratio for mass loss was 66.26%, the effect ratio for the friction coefficient was 53.02% and the effect ratio for the trace depth was 85.69%. The R2 values obtained from the comparison of the experimental results with the regression results were found to be 0.9750, 0.9988, and 0.9759 for mass loss, friction coefficient, and trace depth, respectively. These results show that the regression model fit is good.Öğe Granül cüruf taşımada kullanılan boruların iç yüzeyinin aşınma özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi(Karabük Üniversitesi, 2017) Demirsöz, Recep; Polat, RefikSanayi tesislerindeki en büyük problemlerden biri ekipman ömürlerini doğrudan etkileyen aşınmalardır. Yüksek fırınlar gibi entegre tesislerde aşınmanın birçok türüne rastlanmakta olup bunlardan bir tanesi de erozif aşınmadır. Belirli partikül büyüklüklerine sahip malzemelerin taşınması esnasında genellikle aşınmanın bu türüne rastlanmaktadır. Yüksek fırın granüle cürufu, esasen atık olmakla birlikte ikincil bir üründür ve endüstrinin farklı dallarında kullanılmaktadır. Cürufun sıvı akışkan ortam içerisinde nakli sırasında, nakil ekipmanları sulu çamur erozyonuna maruz kalmaktadır. Sulu çamur erozyonu ise erozif aşınmanın en etkili türlerinden biridir. Yüksek erozyon oranı naklin gerçekleştirildiği malzemelerin ömrünü ciddi oranda kısaltmakta ve bakım-onarım maliyetlerini artırmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sulu çamur erozyonu aşınma deney düzeneği geliştirilmiş ve deneylerde yüksek fırın granüle cürufu kullanılarak St 37-2 referans standart boru malzemesi, Hardox 400, W2C-NiCrBSi kaplama ve AISI 440 C martenzitik paslanmaz çelik malzemelerinin üzerindeki aşındırıcılığı incelenmiştir. Yüksek fırın granüle cürufu ortalama 505 ?m partikül büyüklüğünde elenmiş ve ağırlıkça % 10, % 20 ve % 30 değerlerinde cüruf içeren sulu çamur ortamı hazırlanmıştır. Deneyler 2 m/s ve 4 m/s çevresel hız değerlerinde ve partikül normal çarpma açısında (90°) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan bu deneysel çalışmalarla belirli partikül büyüklüğünde hazırlanmış olan cürufun aşındırıcılığının partikül konsantrasyonu ve çarpma hızı (malzeme iletim hızı) ile doğrudan ilgili olduğu ve konsantrasyonun ve partikül çarpma hızının artmasıyla aşınmanın da arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Numune olarak kullanılan malzemelerin aşınma değerleri yüksekten düşüğe doğru sırasıyla St 37-2, Hardox 400, W2C-NiCrBSi kaplama malzemesi ve AISI 440 C martenzitik paslanmaz çelik olarak belirlenmiştir. Malzemelerin maliyet analizi yapılıp mukayese edilmiştir. Ayrıca aşınma mekanizmalarının anlaşılabilmesi için aşınmış yüzeylerin morfolojik yapıları SEM (Taramalı Elektron Mikroskopu) kullanılarak incelenmiştir. With belt conveyor systems, it has become much easier to transport the material from one site to another in the facilities in terms of time, distance, and capacity. Since belt conveyors are a reliable and cost-effective system in material handling, the quality of the belt used should be carefully determined. It is important that the wear and tear that occurs on the belt over time is repaired quickly and effectively in order not to prolong the downtime in the plant. A small damage detected needs to be repaired immediately so that it does not cause bigger problems. In this study, vulcanization time, which is one of the parameters affecting the belt strength in belt splice made by vulcanization method, is discussed. By studying the effect of time on belt strength, it is aimed to extend the life of the belt splicing area. According to the test results, it has been observed that the increase in vulcanization time has a positive effect on the tape strength and the usage of welding machine saves time in terms of faster use of the tape in the facility.Öğe Investigation of three body abrasive wear behavior of micro-nano sized iron ore pieces on bronze(2024) Uğur, Abdullah; Erdoğdu, Ahmet Emrah; Demirsöz, RecepIn In this work, the three-body abrasive wear of bronze (C86200) in pig cart transmissions was examined. Micro-nano-sized ore particles were introduced to the lubricating media during the Ball-on-flat test to represent three-body abrasive wear. Load shear rate and lubricating medium were useful research inputs. Outputs included examining sample surfaces, mass loss, friction coefficient, and trace depth. Taguchi, ANOVA, and RSM were used to analyze experimental data. The most effective parameter for all outputs was the load value, with a rate of 55.76 percent, while the speed had the lowest influence on mass loss, at 9.74 percent. The regression model fits these results well.Öğe Machinability of cocrmo alloy used in biomedical applications: investigation of cutting tool type(2022) Mutlu, Büşra; Bınalı, Rüstem; Demirsöz, Recep; Yaşar, NafizIt was discovered that the machinability of CoCrMo material, which is extensively utilized in the health-care business as an implant material, may be improved through research. Three distinct cutting tools and three different cutting speeds were employed in the dry machining experiment, with three different feed rates being used in combination with three different cutting speeds (DCMT from two different firms and DCGT inserts). Cutting tools with a wide range of mechanical qualities based on hardness and toughness are available on the market today. Throughout machining, the output of a machine is defined as the average of surface roughness (Ra) and cutting temperature (T), which is estimated as the result of an experimental research conducted during the machining process. The signal-to- noise ratio (S / N) recorded during the testing was used to evaluate the results of the tests. When determining the effect of variables on Ra and T, it was determined that the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) technique would be used. With a precision ratio of %61,4 in the analysis of variance, the feed rate was shown to be the most effective factor on Ra, while the cutting speed was found to be the most effective factor on cutting temperature (%63,9). The smallest Ra values were identified when machining at the fastest possible cutting speed and feed rate, whilst the smallest T values were obtained when machining at the slowest possible cutting speed and feed rate, respectively.
