Öğe Determination of factors affecting individual investor behaviours: A study on bankers(Econjournals, 2015) Islamoglu, M.; Apan, M.; Ayvali, A.In this study, it was aimed to investigate the factors that influence individual investor behaviour. The data used in the study were obtained via survey method from bankers in Bartın. Descriptive analysis was conducted in order to summarize the empirical analysis results with numerical representation and factor analysis was done to measure the validity and reliability of the designed survey. Furthermore, the analysis regarding hypothesis tests was implemented by means of analysis of moment structure. As a result of the study, it was identified that six factors influenced individual investor behaviour. It was found that the highest correlation was between “conscious investor behaviour” and “banking and payment behaviour.” Also, it was confirmed that 11 of the research hypotheses were accepted and that four of the research hypotheses were refused. Within this framework, it was concluded that there was a statistically significant relationship between the factors affecting individual investors’ investment behaviours. © 2015, Econjournals. For this purpose, quarterly financial data (2008:Q1-2015:Q4) of the 10 Energy firms whose shares are quoted on BIST (Borsa İstanbul) have been used. For the empirical analysis of the data set, Panel Data Analysis was implemented. In the analysis, The Asset Turnover Ratio and Liquidity Ratio were found to be statistically significant and positive. Financial Leverage Ratio, Tangible Fixed Asset/Assets, and Long-Term Debt/Assets ratios were found to have a negative impact on the Return on Assets. However, in empirical analysis, it was determined that there was no significant relationship between Return on Asset with Equity Turnover Ratio and Net Working Capital Turnover ratios. © 2018, World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society. The main motivation behind these studies is to reveal whether macroeconomic factors have an impact on non-performing loan ratio of banks and to determine lag length in cases in which these factors have an impact. This study examines the effect of macroeconomic variables (commercial loan interest rates and public debt stock/GDP ratios) on the consolidated non-performing loan ratio of banks involved in Borsa Istanbul (BIST) XBANK index in quarterly basis during 2002-2013 period. The result of econometric analysis revealed that changes in non-performing loan ratio can be explained by above mentioned macroeconomic variables. © 2015, World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society.
