Öğe Acute effects of foam roller on performance in elite volleyball players(2023) Akçay, Neslihan; Kaplan, Samet; Tanrıöver, Sezer; Pençek, Doğukan Ersan; Akgül, Melike Nur; Akgül, Mustafa şakirThe aim of this study is to examine the acute effects of foam roller on performance after static and dynamic stretching exercises in elite volleyball players. A total of 8 male athletes with age average of 19.3±0.39 participated in the study voluntarily. The participants’ performance evaluations were carried out on two separate days, after stretching with stretching exercises and after foam roller exercise in addition to stretching with stretching exercises. 30 m sprint and agility performance of the participants were measured with a Smart Speed photocell. Flexibility measurements of the participants were performed with a standard sit-reach bench. A Smart Jump contact mat was used for active and multiple jump measurements of the participants. The data analysis was performed with SPSS 23.0 package program at 95% confidence interval (p<0.05). The assessment of the difference between different stretching protocols was evaluated with the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. No statistically significant difference was found between Static-Dynamic stretching and Static-Dynamic stretching combined Foam Roller protocols in terms of sprint (z=-0.702, p=0.48), agility (z=-1.4, p=0.16), flexibility (z=-0.422, p=0.67), and anaerobic power (z=-0.28, p=0.78) parameters. Conclusion: It can be concluded that foam roller exercises in addition to static-dynamic stretching do not affect performance in elite volleyball players.Öğe ADÖLESAN VOLEYBOLCULARDA TABATA PROTOKOLÜYLE UYGULANAN 6 HAFTALIK PLİOMETRİK EGZERSİZLERİN FİZİKSEL VE BAZI MOTORİK ÖZELLİKLER ÜZERİNE ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ(2021-12) Kaplan, SametBu çalışmanın amacı, 6 haftalık Tabata protokolü ile uygulanan Pliometrik egzersizinin 11-14 yaş adölesan voleybol oyuncularında fiziksel ve bazı motorik parametreler üzerine etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. Çalışmaya, yaş ortalamaları Deney (n:15) 12,83±2,35, Kontrol (n:14) 13,33±0,39 olmak üzere toplam 29 voleybol oyuncusu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Çalışma protokolü, 6 hafta boyunca haftada 2 gün, Tabata protokolü ile uygulanan Pliometrik egzersiz programını kapsamaktadır. Sporcuların vücut ağırlığı, beden kütle indeksi, vücut kas kütlesi, vücut yağ kütlesi, vücut yağ yüzdesi, yağsız vücut kütlesi, toplam vücut suyu değerleri ölçüldü. Motorik özelliklerinin tespitinde 30m sürat, t-çeviklik, 20m mekik koşusu, dikey sıçrama, çoklu sıçrama ve denge testleri ön test ve son test şeklinde uygulandı. Veriler istatiksel olarak SPSS 23 programında değerlendirilerek 6 haftalık Tabata protokolü ile uygulanan Pliometrik egzersiz programının; vücut kompozisyonu, sürat, çeviklik, maxvo2, çoklu sıçrama, dikey sıçrama, dinamik denge parametrelerinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir gelişme gözlenmiştir (p<0.05). Adölesan dönemi voleybol antrenmanlarına ek olarak tabata protokolüne göre uygulanan pliometrik antrenmanların 11-14 yaş grubu kız voleybol sporcularının vücut kompozisyonu, sürat, çeviklik, maksVO2, çoklu sıçrama, dikey sıçrama performanslarını olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmüştür.Öğe Comparison of acute effects of foam roller combined with static-dynamic stretching on combat athletes’ performances: experimental research(2023) Cıvan, Alirıza Han; Aydoğmus, Mert; Yıldız, Kerem Can; Baltacı, Şeyma; Akgül, Melike Nur; Kaplan, Samet; Akgül, MustafaObjective: The purpose of this study is to examine the acute effects of combine foam roller (FR) and routine warm-up protocols on some performance parameters in combat athletes. Material and Methods: A total of 16 fighters (boxing, kickboxing, muaythai) athletes, 7 female and 9 male, were included in the study. The study was carried out with 2 measurements with an interval of 1 week. On the first day, the athletes were tested for flexibility, sprint, agility, and jumping, respectively, after performing static-dynamic stretching after 10 minutes of low-paced jogging. On the second day, the athletes were tested for flexibility, sprint, agility, and jumping, respectively, after performing static-dynamic stretching and foam roller exercises, respectively, after 10 minutes of low-paced jogging. Statistical analysis of the data ob- tained in the study was made using the IBM SPSS 23 analysis program. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test was used to evaluate the difference between different warm-up protocols. Significance level was accepted as p<0.05. Results: Significant difference was observed 20 m sprint performance between the static stretching (SS)+dynamic stretching (DS) and FR warm-up protocols combined static stretching and dynamic stretching in favor of SS+DS (p<0,05). When the vertical jump height between the 2 different warm-up protocols of the athletes were examined, while a sig- nificant difference was found in jump height (cm) in favor of SS+DS. it was seen that there is a significant difference in favor of SS+DS+FR in the jump numbers of the athletes (p<0.05). Conclusion: FR combine static and dynamic stretching protocols do not have a positive effect on performance parameters in combat athletes, but SS+DS can improve athletes’ vertical jump height and anaerobic performances.
