Öğe Design of a route guidance system with shortest driving time based on genetic algorithm(2011) Atila, U.; Karas, I.R.; Gologlu, C.; Yaman, B.; Orak, I.M.Nowadays, with the advancement of the technology on mobile devices, route guidance systems that assist drivers on the traffic have become widespread in daily life. For an accurate routing, a route guidance system should consider the effectual factors of traffic flow such as density and allowable velocity limits of the roads. With the increase of effectual factors and amount of nodes in road network, the computational cost increases. It is not proper to find exact optimal solution in real time for the road networks with excessive number of nodes using some well known deterministic methods such as Dijkstra's algorithm on navigation systems using mobile devices with limited processing speed and memory capacity. This paper proposes a route guidance system and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) approach applied on this routing system to find the shortest driving time. Excluding classical methods, a gene search method of chromosomes named "firstmatched-genes" on crossover operation had been introduced. The efficiency of the genetic algorithm was tested by applying on the networks with different sizes and a mobile application on the traffic network of Ankara was presented.Öğe Electrooculogram and diplopia controlled fuzzy direction detect system(IEEE Computer Society, 2014) Erkaymaz, H.; Orak, I.M.; Özer, M.Coding of the organ movements have been seen commonly in the hardware designing which is useful for humanity in scientific researches. 5 sense organs which reveal different data with cellular structures, is the most important focus point. Especially, Eye is known as photosensitive sensor organ of living creature. There is a potential difference between cornea and retina of eye. This potential difference is known as electrooculogram (EOG). Nowadays, EOG signals are commonly used in these hardware designs. Obtained potential differences from EOG signals have been converted coded directional movements. Thus, in this study, 4 basic direction movements have been tried to detect with a fuzzy controlled model. It is shown that the fuzzy controlled system as determine the direction can be used successfully. In addition, eye direction movements of squint person are obtained by the system. © 2014 IEEE.Öğe EOG based intelligent direction detect system with pre-filtering algorithm(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2015) Erkaymaz, H.; Özer, M.; Kaya, C.; Orak, I.M.Nowadays, artificial movements have been obtained by utilizing other organs for paralyzed patients. Especially the usage of eye movements for giving message to outside world became popular as a scientific subject. In studies according to eye movements, the Electrooculogram (EOG) signal is used. In this study, the vertical and horizontal EOG signals taken from electrodes, placed around the eyes, have been modelled by using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) which is one of artificial intelligent technique. The system can sense four main directions (Right, Left, Up and Down) at the same time it can also detect blinking movements. Firstly, the signals have been pre-filtered, amplified and classified by ANN. The performance of recommended model has been demonstrated by analyzing statistical accuracy and confusion matrix according to the features of obtained signal. It has been seen that eye movements can be successfully determined by designed model. © 2015 IEEE.Öğe Geographical assesment of results from preventing the parameter tampering in a web application(International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, 2017) Menemencioglu, O.; Orak, I.M.The improving usage of internet and attained intensity of usage rate attracts the malicious in around the world. Many preventing systems are offered by researchers with different infrastructures. Very effective preventing system was proposed most recently by the researchers. The previously offered mechanism has prevented the multi-type vulnerabilities after preventing system was put into use. The attack attempts have been recorded. The researchers analysed the results geographically, discussed the obtained results and made some inference of the results. Our assessments show that the geographical findings can be used to retrieve some implication and build an infrastructure which prevents the vulnerabilities by location. © Authors 2017.Öğe An idea for finding the shortest driving time using genetic algorithm based routing approach on mobile devices(2012) Atila, U.; Karas, I.R.; Gologlu, C.; Yaman, B.; Orak, I.M.People's orientation to the mobile devices all over the world have made the using of route guidance systems that assist drivers on the traffic widespread in daily life. For an effective routing, these systems should take into account the effectual factors of traffic flow such as allowable velocity limits of the roads and density. The computational cost of the system is up to the amount of nodes in road network and effectual factors. When we consider the road networks with excessive number of nodes, finding the exact routes in real time using some well known deterministic methods such as Dijkstra's algorithm on such routing systems may not be accurate using mobile devices with limited memory capacity and processing speed. In this paper, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) approach applied on a route guidance system for finding the shortest driving time is proposed. A different gene search approach on crossover operation named "first match- genes" had been introduced. A mobile application for the traffic network of Ankara and the performance of the genetic algorithm tested on networks with 10, 50, 250, 1000 nodes was presented.Öğe A review on semantic text and multimedia retrieval and recent trends(IGI Global, 2015) Menemencioglu, O.; Orak, I.M.Semantic web works on producing machine readable data and aims to deal with large amount of data. Even automatic annotation generation methods are hard to address, they only operate on image processing step. Ultimately, it does not mean having a system that retrieve, relate and interpret the retrieved data. This study is done for filling the gap that is mentioned. In the study, inquiry is done by use of semantic web infrastructure on the produced, processed data of multimedia which is a source of ontologies. It is aimed to build a framework to introduce meaning on result data with semantic search. In this manner, it will be possible to access the knowledge effectively on multimedia datasets. © 2016 IEEE.Öğe A simple solution to prevent parameter tampering in web applications(IGI Global, 2017) Menemencioglu, O.; Orak, I.M.Business over the internet such as banking and several online services are growing rapidly. Similarly, social media web portals are also getting more and more involved in our daily life. Since these applications are popular and consist of personal and valuable data, they attract malicious attacks to their vulnerable points. The weakness can also be faced in all businesses and institutions that do not care the necessary security steps. The web parameter tampering is one of the major attacks which is based on the modification of parameters. In order to prevent the parameter tampering, a novel and simple mechanism is implemented by verifying the validity. The mechanism is based on a deterministic finite state machine. Beside this static method, the system also has run time validation which leads for the usage of hybrid analysis approach. As an evaluation, performance assessment of the algorithm is done for real time attacks targeting a web site. © 2018, IGI Global.Öğe Using PCA algorithm in voice recognition(2012) Gorgunoglu, S.; Ozkaynak, E.; Orak, I.M.Voice is a biometric feature that is used to distinguish or to identify human beings or species.
