Öğe 3D indoor navigation prototype for smartphones(Conference Chairs of 3DGeoInfo 2014 in Karlsruhe, 2014) Ortakci, Y.; Karas, I.R.; Rahman, A.A.Nowadays, there are a lot of multi-storey, complex and huge buildings in the cit ies especially in metropolises. These buildings are almost like a small city with their tens of floors, hundreds of corridors and rooms and passages. Sometimes people lost their way in these huge buildings. Due to the size and complexity of these buildings, people need guidance to find their way to the destination in these buildings. In this study, a mobile application has been developed to visualize a pedestrian's indoor location as 3D in his/her smartphone. This mobile application has the characteristics of a prototype for indoor navigation systems. While the pedestrian is walking on his/her way, the smartphone will guide the pedestrian with the photos of indoor environment on the route, arrow marks and text information. As a future plan, an RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology can be integrated to the system to detect the location of the pedestrian during his/her tour in the building. By this way, the system will navigate the users more accurately as a real-time navigation system. R.High rise, complex and huge buildings in the cities are almost like a small city with their tens of floors, hundreds of corridors and rooms and passages. Due to size and complexity of these buildings, people need guidance to find their way to the destination in these buildings. In this study, a mobile application is developed to visualize pedestrian's indoor position as 3D in their smartphone and RFID Technology is used to detect the position of pedestrian. While the pedestrian is walking on his/her way on the route, smartphone will guide the pedestrian by displaying the photos of indoor environment on the route. Along the tour, an RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) device is integrated to the system. The pedestrian will carry the RFID device during his/her tour in the building. The RFID device will send the position data to the server directly in every two seconds periodically. On the other side, the pedestrian will just select the destination point in the mobile application on smartphone and sent the destination point to the server. The shortest path from the pedestrian position to the destination point is found out by the script on the server. This script also sends the environment photo of the first node on the acquired shortest path to the client as an indoor navigation module.Öğe A LOW-COST AND LIGHTWEIGHT 3D INTERACTIVE REAL ESTATE-PURPOSED INDOOR VIRTUAL REALITY APPLICATION(Copernicus Gesellschaft Mbh, 2017) Ozacar, K.; Ortakci, Y.; Kahraman, I; Durgut, R.; Karas, I. R.Interactive 3D architectural indoor design have been more popular after it benefited from Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. VR brings computer-generated 3D content to real life scale and enable users to observe immersive indoor environments so that users can directly modify it. This opportunity enables buyers to purchase a property off-the-plan cheaper through virtual models. Instead of showing property through 2D plan or renders, this visualized interior architecture of an on-sale unbuilt property is demonstrated beforehand so that the investors have an impression as if they were in the physical building. However, current applications either use highly resource consuming software, or are non-interactive, or requires specialist to create such environments. In this study, we have created a real-estate purposed low-cost high quality fully interactive VR application that provides a realistic interior architecture of the property by using free and lightweight software: Sweet Home 3D and Unity. A preliminary study showed that participants generally liked proposed real estate-purposed VR application, and it satisfied the expectation of the property buyers.Öğe Performance Analyses of AES and 3DES Algorithms for Encryption of Satellite Images(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021) Ortakci, Y.; Abdullah, M.Y.As the size of the data increases, securing the data has become an important concern as much as storing and transferring. Especially, the sensitive satellite images obtained from earth observation satellites should be transferred to the grand stations by preventing the intruders from accessing the images. For this purpose, cryptography algorithms are used to encrypt the satellite images and these images are transferred to ground station as ciphered image. In this study, AES and 3DES, which are symmetric block encryption algorithms, were used to encrypt three different size satellite images and the performance comparisons of these algorithms were performed by considering some metrics such as histogram, correlation coefficient, NPCR, UACI, PSNR, and computational time. In the simulations, AES and 3DES showed very close results in terms of histogram, correlation coefficient, NPCR, UACI and PSNR metrics for all three satellite images. However, it was observed that AES had performed better in both encryption and decryption of satellite images than 3DES in terms of the computational time criteria, and it had spent almost twice less time than 3DES. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Öğe Recommendation Systems on Twitter Data for Marketing Purposes using Content-Based Filtering(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2022) Albayati, A.N.K.; Ortakci, Y.With artificial intelligence and machine learning enhancement over time, many concepts in commerce and marketing have changed. Today, many people are using online shopping options since online platforms provide a wide variety of products. Vendors also try to attract customers and offer them user-specific products on online shopping platforms using many technologies. One of these technologies is Recommendation Systems (RS) which makes information filtering on batch data. RS makes shopping very easy for both customers and vendors. While it suggests products they may like or prefer for customers, it also provides a target customer list for vendors. RS can also be applied to many social media platforms for marketing purposes. In this paper, we propose an RS analyzing Twitter data for vendors. In our RS, vendors search some keywords to extract target Twitter users as customers, and then it lists the corresponding Twitter users using the Content-Based Filtering technique. Our systems succeeded to recommend the target customer list with 86. 24 % accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.
