Özet

High performance and light weight laminated hybrid composites were fabricated by using epoxy impregnated carbon, kevlar and hybrid fabrics. Carbon-kevlar, carbon-kevlar-hybrid, kevlar-hybrid and hybrid-carbon fabric epoxy matrix composites with 12 layers were synthesized by using vacuum bag method at 170 degrees C temperature for 150 minutes. Composite materials were compared in terms of their flexibility and strength properties by using tensile and bending tests. Elasticity modulus, % elongation, tensile tension, fracture tension, bending moment, bending strength were determined according to the tests results. The highest tensile strength, bending strength and bending moment were observed in carbon-kevlar-epoxy matrix composite, while the lowest values were obtained from carbon-hybrid-epoxy matrix composite.
