Özet
The disputes of the First World War that couldn't be solved brought Europe again on the brink of a great war shortly after. Turkey made every effort not to take part in the war spreading fast all around the World. Especially the President of the time Ismer Inonii, argued that Turkey should absolutely stay out of the war. Therefore, despite of being obliged to make an agreement with the Allies at the beginning of the war and of all their insistence from the beginning till the end of the war, the country didn't go into war with a brilliant policy. Although insisting on remaining out of the war, Turkey didn't keep quiet about the humanitarian aid demands from the Allies. Turkey mediated that humanitarian aid was sent to the soldiers and civilians in the territories invaded by Germany. These humanitarian aids were made through the Red Crescent in Turkey. Furthermore, thousands of refugees, civilian and soldier, took refuge in Turkey, and plenty of prisoners of war were exchanged also in the Turkish territories and territorial waters. The Allies spoke of the efforts of Turkey in this matter with praise.
