Deneylerde; tam kuru yoğunluk (g/cm3), hava kurusu yoğunluk (g/cm3), vernik katı madde miktarları (%),vernik katman kalınlıkları (µm), ağırlık kaybı (%), açığa çıkan O2 (%), CO(ppm) ve No (ppm), sıcaklık değerleri(oC) belirlenmiştir.
In this study, the samples obtained from pine, beech and sapelle woods were studied in terms of their combustion qualities in accordance with the principles presented in ASTM-E-69 standards after those samples were exposed to impregnating and upper-surfacing processes. For this end, Borax (Bx), Boric acid (Ba), Tanalith-E(Tn) and Imersol AQUA (Im) were used as impregnating substances while synthetic, water-based, polyurethane and acid hardener varnishes were used as upper surface substances. The drafts were impregnated under air-dry humidity (12%) and prepared with 9x19x1016 milimeter size, upper surface process was applied. Completely dry densitres, air-dry thickness, impregnation retention proportions, solid substance amounts of varnish, layer thickness and the combustion values of the samples in accordance with the ASTM-E 69 principles were determined. In the experiments, completely dry densitres (g/cm3), air-dry densitres (g/cm3), solid substance amounts of vanish (%), varnish layer thickness (µm), weight loss (%), O amount (%), CO (ppm) and NO (ppm), temperature values (?C) were identified. As a result; the highest oven dry densitres was measured in beech wood (0,66g/cm3), in and in air-dry thickness (0,72 g/cm3), the highest impregnation retention proportion (6,83) was measured in sapelle wooden material which was impregnated with boric acid, the highest varnish solid substance amount (61%) was measured with polyurethane varnish, the highest layer thickness (113 µm) was measured with polyurethane varnish. In combustion test, the highest value was found in synthetic varnish experimental beech group impregnated with boric acid and weight loss ( 93,17%), O amount ( 18,64%) in sapelle group polyurethane varnish impregnated with Boric asit, CO amount ( 5125,32 ppm) in beech group on which water-based varnish impregnated with Imersol AQUA was employed, NO value ( 152,41 ppm) in water based varnish group which was employed on sapelle wooden material impregnated with Tanalith-E and temperature value (371,08 ?C) and Imersol AQUA impregnation was found in water based varnish group which was applied on beech material.
