dc.description.abstract | In vitro degradation behaviour of beta phase (Mg17Al12), commonly present in AZ series magnesium alloys, was studied using electrochemical techniques in simulated body fluid. The experimental results suggested that the degradation rate of beta phase was significantly lower than that of pure magnesium.
