In this study, it is aimed to determine the views of the parents of primary school students on the application of distance education at home through EBA TV and Education Information Network (EBA) which has started to be implemented actively for a short while in Turkey during the Covid-19 pandemic. The questionnaire was applied to 257 parents of the students studying in a primary school in a province of the Black Sea region in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. The descriptive scanning method was used to determine the views of the parents on the subject. An online web questionnaire consisting of 35 single-answer multiple choice and two open-ended questions developed by the researcher was used as the data collection tool in the study. The obtained quantitative data were evaluated by descriptive statistics and qualitative data through content analysis. According to the analysis results of the data collected, nearly half of the participants were determined to be university graduates. Parents who participated in the web questionnaire mostly stated that distance learning at home was the best solution in this process and they found the content, duration and pace of the lessons appropriate. The participants stated that the lessons were efficient and that their children were active listeners. Parents stated that their children were worried but that they could get help from their classroom teachers when necessary, and they were in contact with their teachers. The parents emphasized that two classes a day are not adequate, children are distracted due to environmental factors during the lessons, lessons are not re-studied because homework is not assigned, they can watch the lessons on TV, but they have connection problems over the phone. © 2019,Mİllî Eğİtİm.All rights reserved.en_US
