| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada, Diş Hekimliği Fakültesinde öğrenim gören birinci, ikinci, üçüncü, dördüncü ve beşinci sınıf öğrencilerin umutsuzluk düzeyleri ile geleceğe dair mesleki kaygılarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Karabük Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesinde öğrenim gören tüm sınıflardaki öğrenciler (N=476) oluşturulmuştur. Ölçekler tüm öğrencilere uygulanmış fakat bazı anketlerdeki eksik ve işaretlenmemiş veriler nedeniyle 149 öğrencinin anket formu geçersiz sayılmış ve 327 öğrenci (327/476x100=68,69; örneklem evreninin %68,69’luk kısmını oluşturmaktadır) üzerinden analizler yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında yer alan kategorik değişkenler frekans (N) ve yüzde (%) değerleri ile verilmiş olup karşılaştırmalarına “Pearson Ki-Kare” ve “Fisher’ın Kesin Ki-Kare” testleri kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizler IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 programında yapılmıştır. Anlamlılık düzeyi 0,05 alınmıştır. Çalışma grubu için kullanılan Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeğinin iç tutarlılık katsayısı Cr? = 0,640 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Güvenilirlik katsayısı; 0,60? ? 0,80 ise ölçek güvenilir, 0,80? ? 1,00 ise ölçek yüksek derecede güvenilir bir ölçektir. Elde edilen Cr? Katsayıları kullanılan Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeğinin güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmanın değişkenleri öğrencilerin sosyodemografik özellikleri; cinsiyet, yaş, uyruk, sınıf, genel ağırlıklı not ortalaması, ailesinin ortalama gelir durumu, çalışma durumu, bölümünden memnun olma durumu, mesleki gelecek kaygı durumu ve aldığı eğitimi yeterli bulma durumu gibi özelliklerini yansıtan değişkenlerdir. Karabük Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi (n=327) öğrencilerinin umutsuzluk düzeyleri, %33’ü hafif düzeyde (n=108), %33,9’u orta düzeyde (n=111) ve %33’ü şiddetli düzeyde (n=108) belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, öğrencilerin gelecek kaygıları belirleyerek, diş hekimliği eğitim hedeflerinin iyileştirilmesi ve sonraki çalışmalara katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to evaluate the hopelessness levels and future professional concerns of first, second, third, fourth, and fifth year of undergraduate students at the Faculty of Dentistry. The population of the research consisted of students (n=476) from all classes studying at Karabük University Faculty of Dentistry. The scales were applied to all students, however, due to missing and unmarked data of some participants, the survey forms of 149 students were deemed invalid, and analyses were conducted on 327 students (327/476x100=68.69; constituting 68.69% of the sample population). Categorical variables within the scope of the research are given as frequency (N) and percentage (%) values, and ""Pearson Chi-Square"" and ""Fisher's Exact Chi-Square"" tests were used for comparisons. Statistical analyses were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 program. The significance level was taken as 0.05. The internal consistency coefficient of the Beck Hopelessness Scale used for the study group was calculated as Cr? = 0.640. Reliability coefficient: If 0.60? ? 0.80, the scale is reliable, and if 0.80? ? 1.00, the scale is highly reliable. The obtained Cr? Coefficients show that the Beck Hopelessness Scale used is reliable. The variables of the study were the sociodemographic characteristics of the students; that reflect characteristics such as gender, age, nationality, class, general weighted grade point average, the average income of the family, working status, satisfaction with the department, professional future anxiety, and self-evaluation of received education. The hopelessness levels of Karabük University Faculty of Dentistry students (n=327) were determined as 33% at mild level (n=108), 33.9% at moderate level (n=111), and 33% at severe level (n=108). It is thought that the results obtained will contribute to further studies and improve dentistry education goals by determining the future concerns of students." | en_US] |
